I like Tales of the Abyss, but I'd rather Sony bring back backwards compatibility since I own it on PS2 and I want to play it on PS3. Better yet, Namco could release an HD version with Legendia on PS3.
i was interested when there was no RPGs announced for 3DS but now with SMT Devil Survivor 2 and Beyond the Labyrinth from Tri-Ace i don't really care.

Another remake? I loved Abyss (except for the last 1/3rd, which was nonstop backtracking from point to point for minutes at a time), but how about something new? I want a 3DS, but can't justify it when the best titles aren't even fresh.
No need for new games. Keep remaking old games...but don't forget to slap a little new shit in there, that totally makes it ok.

Never heard of it, to be honest .... but it definitely perks my interests as far as a title I might be interested on for the 3DS. Crossing my fingers for Infinite Space 2 for the 3DS.... or just period.

This was one of my favorite Tales games, so it's kinda nice (in terms of a port) in that regard. Yet......it's not that old, and many Tales fans have played this one to death.
As others have said, more remakes/ports? Meh. Great Tales game, but it's one of the few games in the franchise that has been well-played over here already.

I played the original. It was okay, pretty average in my book. I didn't think the loading times were that much of an issue. But this is besides the point. A remake of yet another game, and this time it's not even that old. I don't think I want to spend 40 bucks on a game that will essentially be the same, besides the probable shorter loading times, extra events, and a new coat of graphical paint. I'll be impressed with the 3DS when 2 things happen. 1, when it has original games and 2, when these games actually make a practical use of the 3D that adds something to the gameplay. As far as I know you can just turn the 3D off..and it's just a regular game with slightly better graphics. Nintendo fanboys kill me defending this shit to death.

Hm, Abyss is far from being a favorite of mine, though I'm a huge fan of the series. I'll end up buying it though. I'm such a tool...
I'm glad they're doing this, but since I won't be getting a 3DS anytime soon, I'll be supporting Namco by buying Graces F. I really want to see Xillia localized.

You can check out Time Travelers since, even though that probably isn't a RPG, it's still pretty cool looking. Also, if you really want a good amount of RPGs, if the NGP is anything like the PSP, it'll be swimming in 'em. Falcom is already making a game for it.

I'm really not a "Tales" fan, but it's nice to see more games coming to 3DS in the near future. Especially since there weren't any JRPGs at launch, so this fills a need on the portable.

Last tales I played was the symphonia, so I'm pumped for this! Avoided the wii sequel, heard it had a very bad translation :/

I'm simply glad that people will be able to play this magnificent title without slapping a Grant or Benji on the counter. Not the best Tales game, but certainly good. I bought it for like $20 at Wal-Mart on impulse and MAN am I glad I did.
it would be better if they remade Tales games from DS with higher resolution, new textures and music/VA and released as budget priced titles or as full priced compilation.
If that was what that countdown was about yesterday, then I was bang on the money with my guess of either Tales of or Soul Calibur on the 3DS.
