Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1 is free for a day
If you’ve wanted to give Tales of Monkey Island a shot, but didn’t have the coin, then consider deeming September 19th a beautiful day. In celebration of 'Talk Like a Pirate Day" this Saturday (this is a real thing), developer Telltale Games is giving away digital copies of Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 1 “Launch of the Screaming Narwhal” for free. That’s right, totally free. Zero bones and no funny money. For what it's worth (and it's worth a lot, people), we enjoyed the first episode. It captured exactly what Monkey Island was all about -- the humor and the challenges -- and brought it into the current generation. It's the definition of a "can't-miss" title for frans of the series and should probably tickle most anyone looking for a decent adventure title. [Update: Now with 100 percent more link.]
