This isn't the first time someone's resorted to harvesting watts for their Pokéwalker without going outside for a quick stroll down the block -- as evidenced by this hilarious scheme -- but it is by far the most ridiculous one I've seen yet.
The video above displays how the nefarious contraption works. Essentially, the device violently shakes an unsuspecting Pokéwalker by tapping into the raw power of K'NEX. That's it. Simple, yet brilliant. Don't you go getting any funny ideas on me here -- you'll have to earn those watts the old fashioned way.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Something tells me that if the Russian guy from Rocky IV had a Pokewalker, this is what he'd be doing. While good 'ole Rocky would do it the old fashioned way, with heart, and commitment, and JOGGING...and of course his Pokemon would win and get revenge for the brutal fainting of Apollo Creed's Pokemans because Rocky is American and Americans have heart and Russians don't because they're Russians and that's the impression I got from the movie or something.
Cheater! Everyone knows that to be a Pokémon master, you have to venture out on foot, WALKING into the wilderness thinking it's like the show and game but in reality, a hobo will come and pedohile you!
@kylamity So they'll go outside? They'll just strap the things to ceiling fans too!
There was a wonderful story in the UK a bit back, kids were strapping pedometers to their dogs. They were Fat Camp kids. I thought they were geniuses. Round, lazy geniuses.
Also, I remember K'Nex. They still make that?
Not that it could be readily seen past my shirt and jacket anyway, I definitely had my 'walker in that little pocket in the right-side picket of my carpenter jeans last night, for fear of losing it in that black hole of the Rave Motion Pictures theater (a realm I have already lost my light jacket and old, yellowed copy of I, Robot (w/ Jade Scorpion promo-bookmark) in).
Oh come on people. I live on the far side of my college campus so Ive been getting around 8000 steps a day logged into mine over the last 3 days. Plus I shake my feet alot so I stick it in my shoe between the tounge and laces for a few more in classes. Once I get a growlithe I may never touch the thing again, I got a lvl 8 bellsprout in there now.
i'm a 26 year old office worker, there is no way i would be seen with that thing attached to the belt of my pants.....i just clip it to the inside of my shirt so nobody can see it. plus i make sure the lump in my chest is covered by my tie. also, wearing the walker while driving gets it to register steps as well.
I put a Sentret in mine today, hid it in my pocket, and walked to work. 8 hours later, I've logged 16,383 steps in one day (I'm a store clerk at a very busy convenience store/pharmacy chain, so that helps).
Seriously, people, a little exercise, even a walk around the block, never hurt anybody.
Electric utility stocks and their dividend feature is great for retirement plans and a conservative way to play the recovery of the economy in a regular investment account.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Until I left him in the closet for a month and he ran away.
The Pokemon in that Pokewalker deserves proper walks. This is highly unacceptable.
The person who created this devilish contraption should be hanged by vine whip. It's only fair.
I don't think centrifugal forces won't work on this, the fan won't do anything.
I don't remember my K'nex sets coming with a motor like that, but I suppose those aren't hard to obtain.
Yay obesity! Yay America! .__.

In class, I sit it on my shoe and slowly tap. It works to catch the rarer 'mons like Kangaskhan that need 4000/5000 steps.
In the halls, it shakes in my backpack. Works wonders.
