Red dead redemption was actually better than I thought, but I still think it's way overrated, and just another open world game.

Poking fun aside, RDR was a decent game and I had fun with it, but it definitely is not game of the year material. It really is a Grand Theft Auto clone with a western setting.

As good as rdr was, after the story (which was amazing) I lost interest and stopped playing. I wasn't a fan of the online either.
I, too didn't see what the big deal was with Red Dead. To me, it just became another GTA where I ran around shooting people in the face... Except this time, there wasn't a tank or an a rocket launcher.
Can't form an opinion about RDR, haven't played it yet. However, it's nice to see something other than GTA turn a profit for T2. With Duke, XCOM, and Max Payne 3 looming, they might have another great year. Oh yeah, there's also L.A. Noire.

I enjoyed RDR for a time, but it really ran out its welcome quickly. I think it was right about the time I realized that doing all those sidequests didn't get you anything useful, or anything at all, in some cases. Also, lame ending for the hero.
RDR was fun for a few weeks, got a few laughs playing FNF in there.
But yeah, it was one of those games where once you're finished with the story, the online doesn't hold it's appeal long and you trade that bitch in.
