It's sounding really good so far. I probably wouldn't like Infinite Slayer, but the other modes on top of the classics sound great.
I've never really liked where shooters have been going. Here's hoping Halo 4 fixes that. I'm down with Halo retaking it's throne.
(I'd still rather it have another one on the PC though...)

@Seymour - Seconded. I've never been into the multiplayer Halo, but I love going through the campaigns coop with a bunch of friends.
I do like how all the xbox exclusives, that I can think of off the top of my head, are all strong games that I don't regret purchasing.
Makes me want to buy a new xbox to replace my old one.

I don't care what anyone says about Halo, it has been my FPS franchise of choice and seems to be at this rate in the far future.
So the best thing about Halo for me was the lack of annoying kill streak awards and perks that the kids earn by playing 30 hours a week.
Oh and it's not a new, exciting feature when you rip it off another franchise.

When I read info about Halo 4, I get so fucking discouraged.

What Ordonator said. I'm a HUGE Halo fan and defend it to the death, but each morsel of information paints a clearer picture of it becoming more CODlike. Booooo.
@Ordonator: Halo was already a clone of another game so why does it matter where the devs get inspiration to make a better game? Ever heard of Marathon? It is Halo before Halo. It was also better. I don't mind them taking things if it means a better game. I also hate COD but I want these Tactical and Support Packages(not Perks) as well as the Ordinance Drop(not killstreak rewards) in the game.
I sure hope clans from halo 2 return. Stat tracking for the clans, battles of clan vs clan was so much fun. Now its clan vs random people and its annoying.
As someone who didn't hop onto the Halo bandwagon until Halo 3 on the 360, I can appreciate the devs taking a look at some of the frustrating aspects for newcomers, such as the mad dash for power weapons at a match's start (and then constantly throughout the match). Seems like they're taking smart steps to address the "problem."
Looks like Halo has finally managed to learn from what's happened in the industry over the last 8 years and integrate it into its multiplayer. And no, not just COD.
