Nintendo 3DSTake a closer look at Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth photo

Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth is all kinds of adorable. Astride the cast of familiar names are a pair of new faces, amnesiacs (because of course they have amnesia) named Zen and Rei, the latter of which frequently conjures corndogs and donuts from thin air.

If that seems at all outlandish, just remember that this all takes place in a world where school children can summon demons with pistols. Ensorcelled morsels are pretty much just the par for an already bizarre course. And really, growing teens gotta eat. Dungeon crawling really builds up an appetite.

Beyond the tasty treats, the story takes place in an alternate realm resembling Yasogami High, the school from Persona 4, where the Investigation Team encounters the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad of Persona 3. Brought together by a mysterious clock tower, the groups join forces with a memory-devoid duo to escape the labyrinthine school.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is slated to release on  June 5, 2014 in Japan for Nintendo 3DS. In the meantime, take a peek at the game's first round of screenshots. There's a lot of them.

Go on, take a peek at Persona Q's battle system

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth and it's autumn release are still a ways off, which means there's still plenty of time to do things like watch gameplay trailers. And as luck would have it, Atlus has shared some  tantalizing footage of the dungeon crawler's old-school battle system. Just a few more months...more

Persona Q: Watch Koromaru summon his own Persona

Two new Persona Q trailers have been released by Atlus Japan today. They feature characters Kanji and Koromaru. In the latter you'll see the handsome little red eyed Shiba battle and even summon his own persona. He's so cute. Barooooo! The Kanji trailer is good, but it's not nearly as cute. You'll find his below. [Thanks to pepsimangb for the subtitles]more

Japan gets a limited-edition Persona Q 3DS XL

I almost bought a Japanese 3DS last week while in Kyoto for BitSummit. That pretty mint/white one. But now that I've seen the design of the limited-edition Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, I'm glad I waited. To be honest, ...more

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth coming Fall 2014

I screamed. I screamed loudly. It's not like we didn't know that 3DS RPG Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth was coming eventually. But to finally know that it's in the works and will be in stores this Fall is exciting. Thril...more

Tres bien! Atlus announces Persona Q 3DS bundle

And doesn't have a picture to show for it. Damn. I need to see this design. Atlus has confirmed a 3DS XL bundle (for Japan) for when Persona Q drops on June 5 (in Japan). In a typically nice Atlus move, first print copies of ...more

Stupei gets slapped in his Persona Q video

While we were beary excited to bring you Teddie and Aigis' Persona Q trailers last week, we totally whiffed on Junpei and Yukari. We've got to show Persona 3 some love. I'm more excited for both of their entrances into Persona 4 Arena, but seeing Junpei get slapped and Yukari's cute little cherub bow (below) is nice.more

Beary cool: Teddie & Aigis get their Persona Q trailers

Is Aigis not doing the stilted robotic voice because of where Persona Q falls in the timeline, or did the Japanese voice actor never do it? Because that was a bothersome element to Aigis' character for me. Not as annoying as...more

Persona Q 'like playing two whole RPGs altogether'

It's a good day when I can just sit and write several articles about Persona. The last bit of the lengthy interview with Katsura Hashino, following talk on Persona 5, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and Persona 4: The Ultimax U...more

Chie and Akihiko spar in latest Persona Q trailers

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth seems terribly far away, but, like clockwork, Atlus has returned with yet another set of character introductions for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS dungeon crawler. Keep twisting that knife, Atl...more

Tres bien! Mitsuru leads this new Persona Q trailer

I'm still not convinced I like the 3DS chibi Persona 3 and Persona 4 spin-off, Persona Q. Giving me more Mitsuru-senpai is a good way to convince me, though. It seems like all the characters will be getting videos as Atlus's YouTube drowns us in Persona Q videos. I could think of worse things to drown in. Like fire. Or pizza rolls. Or syrup. Most things, really.  more
