Rayforce is now out on the App store for iPhone and iPod users. It's the classic shoot 'em up you remember, but there are some new features like the obvious touch controls. Additionally, you can view the game in the original arcade aspect ration setting or play in the newly added full-screen zoomed mode. Plus there's the option between manual and automatic firing controls now.

The only downside is that Rayforce is going for $11.99. It's weird, that price would be normal if it was on XBLA or PSN. But on the iPhone? Perhaps I'm just spoiled by all the $0.99 games available on the App store.

I'm tempted to get because of its kickass soundtrack.

The game is not bad but if you're gonna spend 12 bucks on an iphone shmup, have it be a cave game, unless you have memories with this one. I don't think it's as good of a port as ESPgaluda 2, Bug Princess, DoDonpachi, Deathsmiles, etc., and not as strong a game.

Wow they're high. Oh wait, they're Squeenix. I'll pay that if they ported their kickass Legend of Kage 2 DS game to iOS, though.

Still have this game, and I can tell you it needs to be on the psn ( especially for that price).

It isn't as hard as ikaruga but still one bad move can cost you everything , and the last boss is a straight up nightmare.
