Free Legend of Dungeon expansion adds cats photo
Free Legend of Dungeon expansion adds cats
by Jordan Devore

More cats? More cats. And, hello, the ability to tame wild animals to fight on your behalf? I'm into it.

The dungeon brawler with the funny hats and great lighting, Legend of Dungeon, is getting the free Legend Heroes expansion today on Steam. It adds VR support for the Oculus Rift DK2, full controller support for menus, better dungeon tiles, and more bosses, items, monsters, and music.

Notably, though, eight-plus heroes have become lost in the depths and you'll want to save them not because it's the right thing to do, but because doing so unlocks new playable classes.

Do you consider Playboy to be a 'legitimate gaming news outlet?'

As I was editing a video recap of Steven's news post about fake VR boob goggles, it struck me how deeply breasts have ingrained themselves into the world of videogames. How many arguments about sexual objectification vs. sex...

I'm glad that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare isn't afraid to embrace the strange

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare got some flak for the whole "Press X to pay respects" debacle, but after the controversy quickly died down, it had plenty of time to shine with an active online community. Although th...

Slender: The Arrival is out on PS4 and Xbox One today

Do people still think Slenderman is scary? I don't really know; it seems like the well-dressed humanoid has faded from the collective consciousness lately. Maybe it's just that I don't visit meme websites any more. Slender: ...

Senran Kagura sticks tongue through cheek with jiggling website, fake boob-based consoles

We're a day away from Senran Kagura: Estival Versus' Japanese release on PS4 and Vita. I stumbled upon this page of the series' website, which is to say someone linked to it, gobsmacked, on Twitter, where I clicked on it and...

Wow! TIE Fighter makes for a good Star Wars anime

Paul Johnson spent "[four] years' worth of weekends" drawing and animating this '80s anime-inspired Star Wars TIE Fighter short film focusing on the Imperial pilots. It's like a cleaned up, rock and roll backed Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Uh, maybe don't walk toward that ominous light in The Evil Within

The next DLC episode of The Evil Within, The Consequence, picks up on April 21, 2015. Like The Assignment before it, Bethesda is starting us off with an extra brief teaser trailer. Somehow, the delivery of the sorta-out-of-c...

Everyone has a tail in The Song of Seven

The Song of Seven is a beautiful adventure game, I mean just look at it! The art style reminds me a bit of Okami or The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It's trying to get funded on Kickstarter for the low amount of $8,...

Escalator Pitch: Nina Freeman argues for perpetual Sailor Moon cosplay photo
Escalator Pitch: Nina Freeman argues for perpetual Sailor Moon cosplay
by Steven Hansen

Indie developers make some cool as heck games, but they're not always so great at selling them. We want to them work on their pitch game until they're at Bumgarner levels and we want to take advantage of the the horrible, horrible GDC elevators that get gummed up with folks who don't know you're supposed to walk on the left, stand on the right.

Welcome to another Escalator Pitch. We've gone from pitching classics to meta escalator pitches to John Romero pitching his son's game idea about being the last Mexican and saving the world.

Here we have how do you Do It? developer Nina Freeman making the case that everyone should be doing Sailor Moon cosplay at all time. It's an easy case to make. I call Sailor Mars.

Fan-made Dragon Ball Z fighter still looks amazing photo
Fan-made Dragon Ball Z fighter still looks amazing
by Steven Hansen

There is perhaps less urgency in the Hyper Dragon Ball Z fan fighter coming to fruition now that Arc System Works (Guilty Gear) is releasing a robust 2D Dragon Ball Z fighter.

That does not mean I do not want to play both games, however. Especially because Hyper Dragon Ball Z is still looking excellent, as you can see above. That Gohan speaks to me on an emotional level.
