Now that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are finally here and the dust has settled, the Destructoid team is curious to know what everyone thinks of their shiny new consoles.
Did you get them both? What do you think of each sys...
The father of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi, has announced his PAX Prime 2014 panel where he will discuss his history developing role-playing games, along with revealing more about his new RPG, Terra Battle. Find out more info at PAX Prime website.
Do you guys want to see more of Connor in Assassin's Creed? Yeah, me neither.
All kidding aside, fans of the series' third assassin just may have something to look forward to. When asked during a reddit AMA if Connor's story ...
PAX attendees are in for a super special treat next week. The infamous Keiji Inafune will be delivering an hour-long panel in the Kraken Theater on Saturday from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. He'll run through his 25-year industry career, make comments about how Western development is better that Japanese development, and probably take a little time to discuss Mega Man. If you can't attend, there will also be livestream so you can catch the action from home.
And wouldn't you know it, I get to have another one-on-one interview with the man on Sunday! My dream came true when I got to meet him at E3 this past June, but our discussion was unfortunately limited to Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. This time, no topic is off the table! I can grill him however I see fit! So exciting!
This is a chance to get some real answers to long-pondered questions, yet I don't want to leave any of you guys out. I have my own set of questions, but it's obviously very stacked in favor of Mega Man. Perhaps by reaching out to the Destructoid community, I can get a little variety cooking. If there is something you are dying to learn from the man, let me know in the comments below. I'll try to ask as many of your questions as I can.
After yesterday's official announcement of Metal Gear Solid 5 (woot!), I started thinking about how there really aren't any bad games in the entire, long-running Metal Gear series. All of the Solid games are near perfect, the...
Every year, E3 rolls in surrounded by a sea of hype and anticipation. Sometimes, this hype is surpassed with giant waves of unexpected news and announcements. Other times, the show ends in disappointment, as many of the new games and exciting reveals are anything but.
It is too early to predict what side this E3 will eventually fall on, but, with only a few weeks until the big show, one thing is certain: There is a lot to be excited about.
But what are you the most excited for? For me, it has to be the Wii U. I just love new console reveals and truly can't wait to get my hands on that thing. (Plus, Mario in HD!) More specifically, I am also excited about The Last of Us, hopefully some new (playable?) footage of The Last Guardian, and, my personal loves, Pikmin 3 and the new Paper Mario for the 3DS.
Keep reading to find out what some of the other Destructoid editors are excited about, and then hit the comments to let us know what you think. What is the one thing you can't wait to hear more about at this year's E3? Is there a specific game? A new console? An announcement that is not official but you feel may be coming? Let us know!
For the last few years, we have tried to do something fun and different with our annual E3 predictions. Three years ago, we went to a real-life psychic. The year after that we made a trip to the L.A. Zoo. And last year, a local Los Angeles animal shelter was our destination (resulting in the adoption of some of the adorable puppy and kitten participants!).
This year ... well, this year is a surprise. But before the final predictions post is revealed, we need your help!
Like every year, we need a list of yes/no questions that apply to this year's E3. You can check out thesepreviousposts to get an idea of exactly what is needed, but, as an example, you could ask something like "Will Pikmin 3 be playable on the Wii U?" or "Will Rockstar show off the new Grand Theft Auto?" As long as it is a yes or no question, anything goes!
Let us know your questions in the comments! The more fun and creative, the better! Thanks in advance for all the help!
When I found out 2012 was a Leap Year, I got really excited. Not because anything really special happens on February 29th (outside of the magical unicorn that shows up at my door and grants me three wishes), but I knew it meant I could post a special themed feature. I LOVE POSTING THEMED FEATURES!
Since today is Leap Day -- and everyone knows Leap Day is Father Time’s favorite bonus day! -- I thought it best to reach out to you and ask: What is your favorite videogame bonus stage?
MAGFest may already be a distant memory for some, but for losers such as me who didn't have the privilege of attending, every new video and detail from that glorious weekend is news to us.
