Capcom is delisting Marvel vs. Capcom Origins soon

It's a shame when companies delist digital-only games but it's even worse when they don't give a heads up. Capcom had the courtesy to let us know that Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is coming off PlayStation Network on December 23...

Felynes can dress up as Dante, Blanka, and Chun-Li in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

I'm no Monster Hunter player but I'm liking the cross-game costumes for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Well, most of them. In line with today's Devil May Cry re-release news, Capcom has shown a Felyne outfit based on Dante. That...

Capcom re-releasing DmC and Devil May Cry 4 on PS4 and Xbox One with new content photo
Capcom re-releasing DmC and Devil May Cry 4 on PS4 and Xbox One with new content
by Jordan Devore

Devil May Cry returns next year but not with an all-new installment. I know, I know. But this is the age of higher-res re-releases, after all. Capcom will launch DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition ($39.99 / €39.99) on March 17, 2015 and Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition (price to be announced) in summer 2015 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

No more talk about how 30 frames per second feels right for DmC; the Definitive Edition runs at a smooth 60 frames per second. The updated game includes all the DLC, a higher difficulty setting, a 20-percent-faster Turbo Mode, Hardcore Mode, popular community mods, and new character skins like Devil May Cry 1 Dante and Classic Vergil. DmC has also been rebalanced.

If you only care about DMC4, not DmC, skip to 1:45 for a quick word from Vergil. Capcom isn't sharing much about the new special edition and notes it'll say more "in the coming months."

Street Fighter V being exclusive might not be the worst thing ever

Ok, yes we all hate third-party exclusives. It's especially grating for a franchise as venerable and well loved as Street Fighter. This is a raw deal for the world warriors out there who have already plunked down money on an ...

This Street Fighter V trailer signals Charlie's return

Street Fighter V made another appearance at yesterday evening's Capcom Cup, which, amidst the bout between Ryu and Chun-Li, provided a brief flash of a third fighter. That sure looks like Charlie Nash, Guile's military comra...

Phoenix Wright was almost named 'Roger'

The Ace Attorney series has gradually built itself a small but loyal following outside of Japan. One of the reasons for that is how the games offer an experience that you can't get anywhere else in gaming. Their popularity ha...

I was just playing through Mega Man 4 the other day, and man does the Mega Buster still feel good. The whole game does actually -- all of the NES titles have aged quite well.

If you want to relive those moments in real life, ThinkGeek is now selling its Mega Buster replica for $79.99. To recap, it has flashing lights and sounds, so you can run around your house and go "pew pew" to your heart's desire.

Street Fighter V confirmed as PS4, PC exclusive photo
Street Fighter V confirmed as PS4, PC exclusive
by Kyle MacGregor

Street Fighter V is coming "exclusively" to PlayStation 4 and PC, Sony and Capcom announced today onstage at the PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fighting game will support cross-platform play, meaning PS4 owners and PC users will be able to compete against one another, something Capcom's Yoshinori Ono notes is a first for the series.

During the keynote, Sony's Adam Boyes asserted PS4 "will be the only console this game ever appears on." So don't hold out hope for an Xbox One version.

Check out the title's debut gameplay footage and screenshots right here:

Street Fighter V teaser trailer leaked, planned to be a PS4/PC exclusive photo
Street Fighter V teaser trailer leaked, planned to be a PS4/PC exclusive
by Jonathan Holmes

There is a big PlayStation event happening this weekend, and as is customary for big events in this industry, we have been granted a nice pre-event leak to chew on. Unlike the big Smash Bros. leak from earlier this year, this one seems to have come from the publisher itself. Capcom posted this teaser trailer on its YouTube page a few hours ago, and has since taken it down. Oops! I'm guessing it will be putting it back up again in the next 72 hours or so, hopefully with a little more info on what Street Fighter V will have to offer.

It doesn't look like Street Fighter V will be that different from its predecessor, at least where graphics are concerned. Ryu and Chun Li look a lot like they did in Street Fighter IV but with less exaggerated features and a little more detail in their character models. With diminished visual wow-factor, its status as a PS4 and PC exclusive, and "Street Fighter IV update fatigue" plaguing less competitive fans of the series, I'm already a little worried that the game may not drum up as much excitement as Street Fighter IV did all those years ago.

Then again, EVO is bigger than ever, and the PS4 and PC are the easiest consoles to stream from. Maybe Street Fighter V will surpass Street Fighter IV's popularity through those means. I sure hope so. After Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, the series went into hibernation for almost ten years. Those were sad times. Hopefully Street Fighter V will prevent them from returning.

Why is Ryu a wolf in the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV DLC?
