Max had his dumbest idea yet; handing the show over to me. What if more games had downloadable content voice packs the way they put Snoop Dogg into Call of Duty: Ghosts?
What kind of celebrities would work for that kind of thing? The answers may surprise you.

Infinity Ward is rolling out a bunch of customization items for the Xbox versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts on Tuesday, April 22. Among that content lineup is a Snoop Dogg Voice Pack for multiplayer. It's exactly what you'd ex...
I'll hand it to Infinity Ward for spicing things up by included the Predator in Call of Duty: Ghosts with its Devastation DLC pack. More moves like that and the studio might just win over some of the fans who have moved on to...
Infinity Ward's DLC capabilities may not be up to snuff compared to Treyarch's, but the fact that they're trying is good enough for me. Call of Duty: Ghost's Onslaught DLC was a major step up in quality when compared to their prior milquetoast map packs, and somehow they've even managed to top Michael Meyer's cameo with the goddamn Predator.
Not all of the maps are created equal, but another strong Extinction mission and the Predator gimmick help elevate the package considerably.
Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation is now out for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 for $14.99. You get four new multiplayer maps, a new gun, a new chapter in the Extinction co-op mode, and most important of all, you can play as the goddamn Predator.
Like the Michael Myers transformation, you can become the Predator from the field orders stuff and you truly embody the Predator here. You get its thermal vision, invisibility, the claw, and even the shoulder mounted gun too. And when you're killed you can blow yourself up, which kills EVERYBODY! You even do the evil laugh!
I'm starting to regret that I gave up on Ghosts' multiplayer shortly after launch now.
The Blast Furnace was Activision's mobile studio based out of the UK, where they made Call of Duty: Strike Team, Pitfall, and Wipeout. Their mobile plans evidently didn't pan out as they had hoped, as the studio will be closi...
The new trailer for Call of Duty Ghost's second DLC pack, Devastation, is pretty standard stuff for the first few minutes. You know -- the typical overview of maps, lots of gunfire, and an Eminem track laid over it. Then you get to the 2:20 mark and things start get weird.
As teased last week, The Predator is revealed as an element in the Ruins map. This isn't a knock-off or anything -- it's the actual Predator from the films. While the base game may have not been all that interesting, so far I'm really enjoying Infinity Ward's weird take on DLC, following the playable Halloween villain Michael Meyers.
I never thought I would actually say this, but I am enjoying myself while playing Diablo III. Keep in mind this is without Reaper of Souls, and is entirely about the newest patch -- Loot 2.0. After spending countless hours playing Diablo II and its expansion, my friends and I were incredibly excited for the next installment in the series.
And then I played it.
I could not have been more disappointed. I felt that the inclusion of the Auction Houses fueled many of the other game design decisions (drop rate, loot rarity) and made the game incredibly frustrating. I spent a healthy chunk of time going through the game’s campaign and leveling up my Witch Doctor, but eventually uninstalled the game with no intention to return.
And yet here I am, actually looking forward to playing more Diablo III.
It's hard to look at what Rocksteady has done with Batman and not want the same treatment for Spider-Man. For better or worse, long-time developer Beenox has once again taken charge, this time for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a...
Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts was released into the wild today for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii U. Activision released this trailer to accompany the launch. I love it so, so much. It's less about the gameplay, which I completely admit has appeal, but the expressions made by the character models. These digital versions of hunting pros all have the same joy on their faces, the kind of joy that only comes from having an implement of death in your hand.
It fills me with mirth, particularly when you consider how serious most characters are made to look while holding a gun in their hands. These guys have a sense of merriment and it just seems so strange and hilarious.
If you still play Guitar, DJ, or Band Hero, you better stock up on all of the tracks you've always wanted, because the DLC store is going offline on March 31st. The online servers in general will apparently stay up, and any D...
The "Technical Alpha" (read: really rough early version) for Blizzard's upcoming MOBA Heroes of the Storm has started. What was initially known as "Blizzard Dota" many moons ago has become something else entirely, with heroes and villains from Warcraft, StarCraft, and the Diablo franchise duking it out in arena combat.
Of course, Blizzard doesn't prefer the term "MOBA" -- rather, "Hero Brawler." It's still totally a MOBA, and I'm going to tell you why I'm excited for it, even in this early playable state.
Activision put out a few new screenshots of Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts, releasing for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on March 25. They depict animals to be shot and environments in which they can be shot, lik...
