High-res shots of the DualShock 4 and PlayStation 4 Eye photo
High-res shots of the DualShock 4 and PlayStation 4 Eye
by Jordan Devore

After the DualShock 4 leaks got out, I didn't give the new controller much of a look when it was shown off tonight during Sony's PlayStation conference. That might have been a mistake, though -- upon seeing these freshly-supplied high-resolution glamor shots, the gamepad looks a bit better than earlier photographs indicated.

Additionally, Sony has images of the PlayStation 4 Eye to go along with those specifications we shared. All I can think about is how much stuff I already have sitting on my television stand and how I'm going to make room for this device. Can I stack the Wii Sensor Bar on top of Kinect while on PS4 Eye? I've got tape.

No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise coming in Sextilis 2011 photo
No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise coming in Sextilis 2011
by Jonathan Holmes

For those that aren't familiar with the original ten month Roman calendar (which starred March as the first month of the year), let me translate for you. "Sextilis" is the ancient Roman way of saying "August". What I'm trying to tell you is, No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise is coming to the PS3 in the United States on August 16th. Mark you calendars accordingly.

Also, just in case there is any confusion, let me make it clear that this is the super-enhanced version of Heroes' Paradise; the one that's being released in Japan as No More Heroes: Red Zone. That means we're getting the bug fixes, the leaderboard enabled boss fights against Alice Twilight, Skelter Helter, Nathan Copeland, Kimmy Howel, and Matt Helms (all from No More Heroes 2), the ten new missions (including human bowling), four new beam katanas, four new bike variations, free camera mode for all character models and Travis's hotel room, and of course, HD visuals and optional PS Move support, that didn't make it to the Japanese build of Heroes' Paradise.

I'm hoping to get some time with this new build of the game, and with its producer, Tak Fuji, at E3 2011, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Free Yoostar 2 DLC lets you snog the royals photo
Free Yoostar 2 DLC lets you snog the royals
by Conrad Zimmerman

There's new downloadable content available for Yoostar 2: In the Movies in the Xbox Marketplace which allows players to replace Prince William and/or Kate Middleton in the first public kiss following their royal wedding. The scene is offered free, clearly in an attempt to subvert otherwise rational people into making possibly the most asinine download of their lives. The content will be available on PlayStation Network in the near future.

This is the first of many "iconic scenes" Yoostar plans to release in the coming months, according to Nicholas Reichenbach, Chief Content Officer of Yoostar Entertainment Group. I can't help but wonder and shudder at what those could possibly be.

First living room impressions: PlayStation Move photo
First living room impressions: PlayStation Move
by Nick Chester

When Sony announced that it would be releasing a motion controller for the PlayStation 3, no one was shocked. The success of the Wii had virtually guaranteed that Nintendo's competitors would start scrambling to enter the motion-controlled space in due time.

Sony had been internally working with motion controls for quite some time (even releasing titles that, paired with the EyeToy, contained rudimentary functionality), but it wasn't until the Game Developers Conference earlier this year that it gave it a name: PlayStation Move. Following the reveal, Sony ushered attending press and developers into a massive room to get their hands on early software.

My first impressions? Underwhelming. The controller's performance was somewhat iffy, likely skewed a bit by poor lighting and 50-plus Bluetooth controllers all vying for air time. And the software? I already had a Wii, thanks. Yes, I was that guy.

But after spending some time with the controller and a batch of software in the comfort of my own living room for the past week or so, my tune has changed. Simply put, I'm impressed by what Sony has to offer; it may have a winner on its hand with PlayStation Move.
