Zen Studios announced that its pinball platform Pinball FX2 would come to Xbox One on July 31 but in doing so broke the unfortunate news that tables purchased on Xbox 360 couldn't be transferred to the new version. Yeah, that...

Nolan North returns as the Merc with a Mouth in Deadpool Pinball

Heh. There's a mini Deadpool pinball table in this Deadpool pinball table. That's fun. Quick-time events, even if they're supposed to be a joke? Less fun. But I like that Zen Studios is giving Deadpool a table all his own --...

Rollers of the Realm: A nice surprise photo
Rollers of the Realm: A nice surprise
by Dale North

I tried my hardest to imagine what the combination of pinball and RPG would look and play like before meeting with Atlus at E3, but I kept coming to mental roadblocks so I decided to wait and be surprised when I got to see it. When I finally did see and play this unimaginable creation from indie debs Phantom Compass, I certainly was surprised.

First, I was surprised at how off-base I was with my imagined concepts. More importantly, I was surprised at how well it all came together in upcoming game Rollers of the Realm.

Telltale's The Walking Dead being reborn as a pinball machine in Zen Pinball 2

Not only is Telltale's Walking Dead series coming to Zen Pinball 2, it's shambling. Or staggering. Or one of the hundreds of zombie-related puns I thought about using for the headline before deciding to play it straight. But...

Star Wars Pinball's final Masters of the Force table looks nuts

Zen Studios releasing Plants vs. Zombies pinball board on Steam

Zen Studios has already released the Plants vs. Zombies pinball table for Pinball FX2 on the PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox Live Arcade, and Wii U, but it's coming to the PC on March 6th. It'll drop on Steam and the Mac App store for $2.99, the latter of which supports Zen Pinball 2. I actually enjoyed this table on the PS4, so it's definitely worth picking up if you're playing on PC.

Review: Zen Pinball 2 (PS4) photo
Review: Zen Pinball 2 (PS4)
by Brett Zeidler

You've no doubt run into at least one of Zen Studios' pinball platforms by now, appearing on virtually every current device out there that can play games (the only exception being Xbox One as of right now). They hit it big over the years with numerous licensed and original tables such as Star Wars, Marvel, Plants vs. Zombies, Ninja Gaiden, and Street Fighter, with many more surely on their way for 2014.

After landing on the Wii U last year, the PlayStation 4 is the next current-gen system to get the pinball treatment from Zen Studios in the form of Zen Pinball 2. Those who have checked out any past incarnation know what to expect, but newcomers are definitely in for a treat should they jump in -- which they absolutely should.

Review: Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force photo
Review: Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force
by Ian Bonds

Back in February, Zen Studios released three tables based on the Star Wars series, adding to the already vast library of tables for Pinball FX2. They were fantastic, diverse, and just as feature-rich as the other tables for the game. Many believed it would be hard for the studio to match that collection.

These newest tables not only match the previous set but manage to surpass it.

Free Pinball FX2 table coming for Steam users
by Abel Girmay

Zen Studios, the minds behind the Pinball FX series, will be bringing their Sorcerers Lair table for free to all Pinball FX2 Steam users starting June 21, 2013. Good news too, as this table isn't a timed giveaway. It will remain free for everyone, indefinitely.

No word on any console giveaways at this time though. So there you go, the best virtual pinball machine is about to get a little bit better in a few days time. This release will coincide with some premium content as well, with Marvel Civil War, Fantastic Four, and Paranormal tables all becoming available for $2.99 a piece.
