Mega64

Mega64's latest parody sees them taking on Journey as they simply go about town looking for friendship. Sadly no one wants to be friends with a well-dressed armless creature.
Will you sit there and just watch as GameStop executives suffer from low sales of used games?
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag hasn't come out yet, but that's not stopping the gang from Mega64 to guess what Assassin's Creed V will be all about. And Assassin's Creed VI. And even Assassin's Creed VII.
Thanks to your efforts, the Mega64-sponsored indie studio Sarnotech was able to meet its Kickstarter goal of $350K. Unfortunately, progress on the potentially greatest game of all time, Sakred Diamonds, has ground to a halt ...
Sakred Diamonds sounds like the most original and revolutionary videogame of all time. It defies all comprehension. And Mega64 needs your help to make it happen. C'mon! You know that any project with Dave Grohl, Jr. on music duty is a guaranteed winner! Just give them your money. All your money. Your pocket lint. A cheese curl. Pretty please? I haven't played Hotline Miami yet. I haven't played many games yet. I'm so buried in backlog that I wonder if it's even worth buying anything new when I barely even touch the stuff I do buy. But that's a discussion for anot...
While at PAX East this weekend, Holmes took a swing by the merchandise booth of Mega64 to discover what drives them to produce their unique brand of satirical humor and who they're trying to reach with it.  Check out more of Holmes' Talk Fast interview series!
Pokémon's elusive Missingno! Where is it? What is it? Is it based on a real-life animal? Are there any other undiscovered creatures in the wild as mysterious and incredible as Missingno? The VG Fact Checkerz take to t...
Mega64 has been putting out videogame parodies long before YouTube was even a thing. One of their earlier works from Mega64: Version 1 featured a BurgerTime parody, which happens to be one of my favorites skits from them. It...
My final post of 2012 is a Mega64 video share. I'M LAZY LOL! Maybe my resolution should be to do some real editorial work in 2013, am I right, haters!? Mega64 runs an awards show every year, and the results are always predic...
I hesitated sharing this Mega64 parody of the film Looper because I didn't want to risk spoiling the actual movie for anybody. However, I myself have yet to see Looper, so I'm probably f*cked. And if I'm f*cked, you're all f...
Judging from the opening, it looked like Shawn somehow already owned Scribblenauts Unlimited on 3DS, so 5th Cell co-founder and Scribblenauts creator Jeremiah Slaczka was just wasting his time. Either way, it's always fun to...
"Submitted for the approval of the Mega64 Midnight Society... my story is called... 'The Legend of Gameface!'" Mega64 has a special "scare story" for y'all this Halloween. At seven and a half minutes in length, it's one of the group's longer videos in quite a while, but I enjoyed every second of it, "Shyamalan twist" ending and all. Mega64: The Legend of Gameface [YouTube]
After the Bayonetta 2 video, this one is much, much, much better. Here is Mega64 at their finest -- harassing the crap out of people! I love how after a minute Derrick just fesses up to being a d*ck for kicks and giggles. Th...
I'm going to be upfront with you guys and admit that this may be Mega64's worst videos ever. It's not funny at all, just really morbid and forced. Not that I don't agree that reactions over Bayonetta 2's Wii U exclusivity ar...
I'm a huge fan of all the skits that the Mega64 gang cooks up lately, but I miss the simple videos in which they harass people in public. Those don't come out too often anymore, do they? I just get so giddy when old-school f...
Just when you think the Mega64 crew have nothing left to offer the world, they have a grand epiphany and alter the course of humanity for the better. By studying countless box art from across the history of videogames, they'...
Amazing what the console scene is like today compared to what it was just 13 years ago, isn't it?
Worried that Dead Space 3 is being neutered? That it won't be as scary as its predecessors? What are you, a skank ho? Stop thinking such stupid skank ho thoughts! A special behind-the-scenes promotional video was sent to Meg...
Just a few days until E3! SO EXCITE! To hype up the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo that will appear at Konami's E3 booth, Mega64 reminds us of the long road Raiden had to travel since 2008's Metal Gear Solid 4. Like man...
The extent of Blizzard's lack of bug-checking for Diablo III is unknowable. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. At least, that's what happened when the Mega64 crew sat down for a friendly co-op game. Oh, and I could h...
Your experience with Skyward Sword's controls can vary immensely from the next guy's. Some people had no trouble whatsoever becoming acclimated with the motions, whereas others could never get the sword to go where they want...
The Mass Effect 3 controversy will never end, but lately, I've been doing a good job of ignoring any emails on the subject that appear in my inbox. I see M-A-S... I don't need to read the rest of the subject line. It's strai...
Soooo... Indie Game: The Movie was a thing. Some say it's pretty good. The Mega64 crew, however, thought it could stand to be punched up a bit. Since those boys are quite skilled at turning a mundane game media event into a ...
During GDC, developer Warren Spector was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award. To pay tribute to a man who has brought so much love and joy in the world, Mega64 teamed up with Cliff Bleszinski for a short video retros...
Has it really been that long since Mega64 made an honest-to-God videogame skit? There was that Sonic one, right? It feels like it has been much longer than that. Stop selling yourselves out to your corporate masters and go b...
2011 is dead and buried, but there's always room for one more round of pointless awards. Once again, Mega64 is the final word on which games were the most and which games were toast. It's not just about games, either. It's a celebration of the entire year in pop culture. Totally legit. Mega64: TODD & AARON'S GAME AWARDS 2011!!!!!!! [YouTube]
When tasked with making a fan film of the Game of the Forever, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the boys of Mega64 decided to steer away from their typical modus operandi. The result is not a parody but a serious production fill...
When game publishers ask Mega64 to make a commercial for one of their upcoming titles, do they go in with any knowledge of Mega64's body of work? Do they just think, "Oh! Funny Internet people! Here's some money. Send us the video by Wednesday"? Anyway, here's the Mega64 Just Dance 3 commercial. I said, "What the fudge?" at the 1:38 mark. Mega64: "DANCEMAS" Just Dance 3 Commercial [YouTube]
Surprisingly, this is the first true Sonic skit that the boys have ever done, despite making Sonic-related videos in the past. It's nice to see a return to the good ol' "run through the city wearing goofy costumes" template that made them famous. Also, classy ending. Mega64: Sonic The Hedgehog [YouTube]
The full version of Minecraft was released this past weekend, punctuated by MineCon 2011 in Las Vegas. Notch himself prepared this special video to show to all the convention attendees. That accent is so sexy. MINECRAFT 1.0 OFFICIAL INTRODUCTION [YouTube]
Ladies and gentlemen, this may be the most important film you will ever see. It's raw, it's gritty, it's real, it shakes the very foundation of the enthusiast gaming press. This is a movie that will change not only the future of filmmaking but also the very fabric of social constructionism. Modern Game Journalism: The Movie: The Trailer [GameTrailers]
Ubisoft once again tapped the Mega64 crew for a commercial deal, this time for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I was a little taken aback by how straight the boys were playing this particular video. Didn't seem to have that ol' Mega64 je ne sais quoi. Then I got to the 1:15 mark and was like, "Oh, okay, there we go!" Mega64: GHOST RECON FUTURE SOLDIER Commercial [YouTube]
Oh no, you guys! The Mega64 boys are expanding into the world of music! They want us to spend money on sh*t that ought to be free! Sellouts! I declare them sellouts... which is what I would say if their song wasn't the great...
Madden 12 in the house! Time to get poppin' with a Mega64 hip hop joint! Also featuring Brandon DiCamillo, of CKY and Jackass fame, as John Madden. For the nancy boys, the clean version is posted after the jump. Mega64: MADDEN RAP 2012 (ft. Brandon DiCamillo) (EXPLICIT) [YouTube]
Yesterday, we showed you a new ad for Sega's Kinect horror game Rise of Nightmares. That video... was for plebeians. Here's the one you want to watch, complete with a Look Who's Talking Too twist ending. Mega64: RISE OF NIGHTMARES Commercial [YouTube]
These are the decisions that fans have to make. Me? I prefer Spartans who sparkle. Mega64: HALO EARLY ANNIVERSARY? [YouTube]
Rusty Hearts is a bit of a hot-button issue with Shawn in this, the game's official promo video.
The latest offering from Mega64 actually has one of the most straightforward set-ups. There are no props. No cameos. No other starring members except Rocco. It turns out that the subject matter of Catherine is weird enough on its own to produce an incredibly awkward series of encounters with Rocco playing a disturbingly forlorn nerd Love is over before it even began.
I'm so happy that I finally got to play Deus Ex recently, because the knowledge that the Mega64 crew didn't have to exaggerate much of anything from that game to pull this video off makes it even funnier. After the jump, you can see the boys' full SDCC Deus Ex panel crash.
