Killing Floor 2 has more gore than you can twirl a katana at

Killing Floor 2 is showing in spades much of what made the original a success. Blood by the bucket is shown to stain the map for the duration of the match as players dismember genetic freaks every which way. Tripwire Interac...

Stay far away from these Killing Floor 2 monsters

Slashers, and Crawlers, and Clots, oh my! Everything in this Killing Floor 2 trailer looks positively no bueno. Especially that Fleshpound character. His concrete pound looks aggressive enough, and I doubt that skin would hold up any better than that cement did.

Killing Floor 2 teaser trailer is nothing more than a tease

Brittany hopes that Killing Floor 2 will be just as gory as she wants it to be. I don't have any real hopes or aspirations for the game. No, wait -- I do; I hope it doesn't have as much hard rock as this trailer does.

Killing Floor 2 will hopefully be just as gory as I want it to be

Tripwire Interactive's first look at Killing Floor 2 unfolds just as you'd expect it to: a gaggle of "zed," the feral genetic freakshows populating the second entry into the visceral series, are scattered throughout the smold...

Killing Floor Christmas offer has new level for The Ball photo
Killing Floor Christmas offer has new level for The Ball
by Alasdair Duncan

Every year you can count on Tripwire to crank out some content for Killing Floor for Christmas and this year is no exception. What's interesting about this year's Twisted Christmas Event is that's there's some neat crossover with the first-person puzzler The Ball.

First up, there's two new maps and achievements along with the return of all the Christmas-themed mutants from previous years. You'll also get a chance to get the Zed Gun and Baddest Santa again, if you didn't manage to get the unlocks from a previous event.

If you already own The Ball, you'll unlock Harchier Spebbington (which is the best not-really-an-upper-class English name ever) as a character skin which was previously only available as a pre-order. There's also a new two-hour mini campaign for The Ball and all of this is free if you own both games. If not, both are reduced to half price right now and Killing Floor is free to play until January 2. Killing Floor might be looking a bit old now but you can't argue with a game that's been supported this well with free and paid DLC.

Killing Floor unleashes the Pier of Pain photo
Killing Floor unleashes the Pier of Pain
by Alasdair Duncan

I just want to point out that Tripwire Interactive's co-op zombie shooter Killing Floor is four years old. It came out in May 2009 and the studio is still supporting it with free expansions as well as paid DLC. That's a heck of a level of commitment for any game. Right now you can get Killing Floor for just $3.99/£2.99 which is 80% off the regular price.

The Pier of Pain event runs until July 23rd and features a whole new level and gameplay mode entitled Objective Mode in which players will escort a VIP character whilst fighting off the mutated hordes. In addition, there are two new weapon packs for you to unlock or purchase. Not only that but Killing Floor will be free to try on Steam for a week, starting July 4th. Oh, and all the game's DLC is half price too.

I feel I have to commend Tripwire for its continued support of Killing Floor; I put plenty of hours into the game but haven't played since loosing my regular co-op partners. Seems right now might be the best time to jump back on the wagon.
