As you'll no doubt remember from our exclusive reveal, Windborne is a new sandbox game from the fine folks responsible for Defense Grid: The Awakening and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and it sees players guiding their avatar through a world they can create and explore either alone or with the help of online partners. There's a ton of ruins filled with puzzles and treasures to uncover, plus enemies encroaching on your island that you'll have to defend against.

Last week, Destructoid brought you the first real details on Windborne, the next game from Hidden Path Entertainment heading to Steam on the PC. Now we can exclusively debut the first gameplay trailer showing off the game's world. Note that while a lot of what you see appears in third-person, the game is actually presented in first-person view.
Windborne is a social sandbox title where you can explore the game's story, or just go play and create stuff with friends. We've so far learned that there will be a tons of places to explore, dragons that you can breed, and there's a big emphasis on community too.
We spoke with Michael Austin, CTO of Hidden Path Entertainment, and he's given us some more details on what we can expect out of the game.
The new title is a social sandbox creation game where you can create and explore your very own world either by yourself or online with others. You'll be free to create your custom male or female character, then build and craft whatever you can imagine. There's a ton of ruins filled with puzzles and treasures to explore, plus enemies encroaching on your island that you'll have to defend against.
