Hellgate: London returns as free-to-play MMO

Remember Hellgate: London the ill-fate MMO that was released in 2007 and promptly fell flat on its face? Well, beyond all sense and reason, the game has clawed itself out of the grave and has returned with a new free-to-play model.  There will be a beta in June. My grim curiosity compels me to check it out. Keep an eye on the official site for more details as they come.

Dtoid Contest: Win a Hellgate: London lifetime membership!
by NO LONGER WORKS AT DESTRUCTOID

Lifetime Membership! Say it with me, life...time...member...ship! Do you love Hellgate: London? Do you think you might play it for a long time? Well, Destructoid really has something that you might want. A founders membership just for you for free!

Enter a video roughly a minute in length, describing what Hell looks like. It can be funny, spooky, or anything that you can think of. The Dtoid staff will be judging you in a few weeks, so you have plenty of time to put something together. Post your entries as a C-blog with the title, "Your username's Hellgate contest entry" and don't be a smart ass and write "your username" either. Feel free to use any assets from the game itself to help you. The video does not have to be exactly one minute, but try to keep your personal addition to the video around one minute. This means you can make an Epic intro or Epic credits and not have to worry. Also, this helps keeps kids off the streets until Halloween when the game comes out. Dtoid does its part for the betterment of mankind.

Contest: Do you like Hell, Gates, and Betas? photo
Contest: Do you like Hell, Gates, and Betas?
by NO LONGER WORKS AT DESTRUCTOID

If the buzz is a real indicator, it really looks like Hellgate London is going to be a big game. One of the most common questions that I get asked is. "Hey Ron, can you please ban WiiSucks from Dtoid?" The second most asked question is, "Hey Ron, do you have any Hellgate Beta keys Pleeeezorz?" Well... as a matter of fact I do, but only one. A little birdy told me that Dtoid might be getting some more very soon though.

How can you win? Well, it is complicated. You need to leave a comment below saying, well...ummm...anything is fine. Now everyone has an equal chance of winning. Except Paris Hilton because she is a dumb K*nt. Comment number 666 wins the prize and any random photoshops of Paris Hilton that make me giggle will be taken under consideration for excess swag laying around Kingdom Workman while we wait for the winner. Post as often as you like but 3 posts in a row means you are out.
