Couch Campaign

When we think of the American west, we think of outlaws and lawmen, settlers trying to eke out a new life in an inhospitable place and, most of all, stylish dress composed of pastels and fringe. It is in that spirit that Jordan and I approached Sunset Riders for the Super Nintendo, knowing that while it was important to be good, that should be secondary to looking good.
Jordan and I are pushing further in our play of the tragically existent Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. The mayor of Carbon, Texas is sending us down to the bottom of a crater where he swears the people we're looking for...
Jordan and I have started a new game in our Couch Campaign, and it's one that I have been excited to play since we first began talking about the project. As a huge fan of the Fallout franchise and a lover of top-down, exploration shoot-em-up games, the pairing of the two could have been glorious. And Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is, provided you think train wrecks can be glorious.
It's the end of the road for our playthrough of Guacamelee, and it's been a really enjoyable experience on the whole. In our final two episodes, Jordan and I hunt down the chicken thief of Santa Lucha, face off against the fearsome Jaguar Javier and confront the sinister Carlos Calaca. It's some seriously action packed stuff.

This episode of Couch Campaign features one of my favorite moments thus far in Guacamelee. Along the way, you find "Choozo statues" containing the special abilities which allow further progression in the world. The frequency...
Having been to Tokyo and seeing how orderly everything seems to be there, it's a little bit surprising to see how terrible things turn out in most variations of a "Neo" Tokyo. Take the Tokyo of Captain Commando, for example,...
Why wasn't there a promotional tie-in for Guacamelee for the fast-food chicken franchise, El Pollo Loco? That is a missed opportunity if I've ever heard of one.  In Episode 3 of our run through Guacamelee, Jordan a...
This weekend is Cinco de Mayo, which is a really good excuse to get drunk while under the guise of celebrating Mexican culture. Jordan and I are getting into the spirit by tackling Guacamelee as our next cooperativ...
It is time for us to bid a fond farewell to BattleBlock Theater, as Jordan and I conclude our playthrough in today's episodes of Couch Campaign. It's been a bittersweet journey of cats, poop, friendship and musical references to long-forgotten teen comedies. Maybe that last one only happened in this episode.
There are not many times when being an inconsiderate jerk to somebody winds up being to the benefit of everyone involved, and BattleBlock Theater should be celebrated for providing such opportunities. Sure, Jordan repea...
Not even God himself could sink this production. We have a couple new episodes of Couch Campaign today as we venture even deeper into BattleBlock Theater. Our fifth segment, seen above, is actually a replay of an area for wh...
Jordan and I have been having an absolute blast with BattleBlock Theater. Playing it in two-player amplifies the humor of the game to no small degree. The jokes are funnier because you have someone to laugh at them with, but...
Jordan and I have been waiting impatiently for BattleBlock Theater since it was first announced an eternity ago, so we wasted no time in firing it up for the second sortie in our Couch Campaign. Today, we present our first foray into the colorful platformer filled with cats, traps, poop jokes and mystery. It's a lot like our day-to-day lives, when you get right down to it.
I've known more than a few wounded veterans in my day, both family and friends. If there's one thing I have taken away from their experience, it's that dealing with the US Veterans Administration can be almost as annoying as...
We've posted some new episodes of Couch Campaign today for your viewing pleasure, continuing our run through Gears of War: Judgment and defying every order that comes our way. We're such rebels like that. I have to give...
As Jordan and I continue our trek through Gears of War: Judgment, we're learning all sorts of things about ourselves. First off, we have absolutely no patience for robots who can't defend themselves. Every robot should be ar...
There is nothing (and I mean nothing; no food, nor sex, nor drug) that I enjoy more than the act of sitting down next to another person whose company is pleasant and playing a game with them. Couch Campaign is an opportunity...
