Dig Dug parody video takes Ke$ha to the arcade

Destructoid contributor Ian Bonds was seemingly too humble to post this video. Either that, or he doesn't really love us as much as I thought, because this music video created to accompany his parody of Ke$ha's "TiK ToK" is the kind of thing you really ought to be showing the people you claim to care about.

Teenage Pokemon: The first episode

[Teenage Pokemon is a cartoon show about Pokemon in their second stage of evolution. Expect some parody/tribute to videogame culture, industry, players, and events.] I just realized that the first episode of The Simpsons was...

The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles is out now on Windows 8

You guys remember FMV games, right? Well, even I remember them, and I'm the resident baby here at Destructoid. FMVs were interactive movies that, you guessed it, used full-motion videos. Think Dragon's Lair but with real act...

A funny thing happened today as a number of reports started surfacing from people who had purchased the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, only to discover the second installation disc missing and a copy of Mass Effect...

Mists of Pandaria cinematic is the absolute greatest

I make no attempts to hide my infatuation with pandas. I also don't shy away from stating that I'm not a big fan of World of Warcraft. However, Blizzard knows how to get anyone excited for their games with the always stellar...

The Merc with a Mouth gets his own game, first trailer photo
The Merc with a Mouth gets his own game, first trailer
by Brett Zeidler

Well, it's finally happening, guys. Deadpool will star in his very own videogame, called Deadpool: The Game. High Moon Studios (the team behind Transformers: Fall of Cybertron) will be handling the development duties, with Activision set to publish the game.

Nolan North will voice Deadpool, which is an appropriate choice because he's done the voice for Deadpool in all his appearances ever since Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. It just seems a bit strange because he's doing his normal Nathan Drake-esque voice when he talks. Still sounds great all the same, though.

Now, the trailer itself was absolutely perfect. High Moon definitely nailed the humor and fourth wall breaking that Deadpool is known for. The trailer alone was full of so many unforgettable quotes. My personal favorite has to be, "Now let's be honest, I'm not the only one with a little bit of sh*t in their pants right now, am I?" No Deadpool, you're not.

So, we know they've got the character down, now it's just a matter of if the gameplay will be any good. From what I could tell of the small bits in the trailer (which shows Deadpool riding and punching a guy in the face while they fly towards Earth, among much more), it's looking like the whole game is shaping up quite nicely. What do you guys think?

This fragrance will make people like you more

Every so often a marketing idea will come along to gear their product toward 'gamers' or 'geeks', and sometimes those products aren't terrible. Or you get something like Erox, a unisex fragrance targeted at the aforementioned...

Don't be ridiculous: Perfect Strangers gets a fan game

A lot of people are saying that gaming needs to "grow up". Jade Raymond said it. Some guy who wrote an article for a videogame blog said it. A taco meat-colored guy who shops at my local Gamestop said it. Everyone is saying i...

Behind the hats, Team Fortress 2's short, funny story

Did you know that Team Fortress 2 had a backstory? Me neither. Apparently Valve's been fleshing out via comics since 2010. It's oddly interesting, and brings order to one of the most chaotic kill-a-thons in modern gaming.  Still wondering what all this hat business is about...

Juliet cleans off zombie bits in Lollipop Chainsaw video

Zombies are messy. Like, really messy. Their fragile bodies are falling apart and full of blood, so I'm sure it comes as no surprise that Juliet gets covered in zombie bits after a day of slaying them with her chainsaw. She ...

Dorkly does Limbo

Limbo is one of those games that works well because of its atmosphere. When you take that element away, like Dorkly did, you end up with something silly, and maybe a little bit scary, like the above video. Just be warned, once you've seen this video you can never unsee it. Lollipop Spiders. That's all I've got to say. Limbo with a flashlight [Dorkly]

Machinima teases (fake) Angry Birds movie trailer

All I want for Christmas is for this Machinima trailer to be for a real movie. Sadly it isn't, which I think is a shame. Don't worry though, there is an Angry Birds movie in the works. It just isn't an homage to Snatch (the movie, you perverts). Seriously though, this is an amazing idea, and while I have less than no desire to see the real Angry Birds movie, I would go watch this movie. Twice.

What I learned playing Self Defense Training Camp

I've been playing a ton of Kinect games for review lately, and one of these is Ubisoft's Self Defense Training Camp. The game aims to teach you a variety of techniques that you can employ to get yourself out of a dangerous situation. I found the whole experience to be thoroughly enlightening and wanted to put together a video which showcased how there's a way to escape absolutely any problem.
