What's the most addictive videogame you have ever played? photo
What's the most addictive videogame you have ever played?
by Chad Concelmo

The other day I was playing my new obsession Spelunky and, of course, died while trying to complete the dreaded ice caves. It was late and I really needed to go to bed. Instead of turning off the game -- or even thinking about turning off the game -- I immediately hit "Quick Restart" and started playing again.

This seemingly simple moment was almost revelatory for me. What amazed me most about this instant was not that I restarted the game, but that I don't even remember doing it. I have no sense memory of even pushing the button to restart the level. The time between dying and retrying -- while over in the blink of an eye -- was a complete blur.

My body was so addicted to the game that my brain didn't even consider stopping. I was, and still am, physically addicted to Spelunky.

I think I might have a problem.

E3 10: Care to watch 30 minutes of the PS Move in action? photo
E3 10: Care to watch 30 minutes of the PS Move in action?
by Matthew Razak

You know what is going to be fantastic about this year's E3? It won't just be Nintendo executives flailing around on stage looking like idiots. This year all three companies are going to have highly paid business men and women waving their arms around like maniacs while millions watch. In case you want to get the crazed arm waving action going early you can check out the video above from German gaming site GamersGlobal.

They have 30 minutes worth of Move action in that video and go through most of the sports and mini-games that we've heard about already. The first thing you're probably going to notice is the recalibration that occurs, though Wii MotionPlus has to do something like this as well. The second thing is that the sports games seem to share that same lifelessness that Home has. Wii Sports is so successful because it just looks fun, this looks odd until until you get to the non-sports games.

But enough with the nay-saying. It does look like the controls work and work well, and that Sony is actually doing something different with a few of them. Clearly, the big thing that Move offers that the Wii does not is the ability for you to be on the screen as well, and the games that use that seem pretty darn cool, especially with Move's ability to replace the controller with something else on screen. We'll just have to wait until E3 to get our own hands on it and tell you all about it in English.

[Thanks, Alex H.]

Did someone say free user-created Peggle Nights levels? photo
Did someone say free user-created Peggle Nights levels?
by Jordan Devore

Just when you finally stopped suffering withdrawals from your Peggle addiction, you're about to dive right back into the thick of it. Consider me your honorary shoulder-bound little devil for the day. Go on, download this free level pack for Peggle Nights. Do it. Do it! DO EET!

Five user-created levels make up this add-on pack, as seen above. They stem from an art contest PopCap apparently held at some point -- who knew? Best of all, even if you don't actually own a copy of Peggle Nights, you can totally download the trial version and this bonus pack of levels will still work.

It's also worth mentioning that this offer extends to owners of Peggle Nights on Mac. How thoughtful!
