Broforce presents The Expendabros, a free crossover game photo
Broforce presents The Expendabros, a free crossover game
by Jordan Devore

Free Lives' Broforce is a run-and-gun game with a parody-filled cast of action movie heroes. Indianna Brones, Rambro, Snake Broskin -- the list goes on. It's all too perfect, then, that this team has collaborated with The Expendables 3 for a free promotion game.

This is The Expendabros, out now on Steam.

All told, there are seven playable characters based on the film and ten missions. Pretty dang cool. Even if you aren't into The Expendables, this should be a good taste of the full-fledged Broforce.

Beating Spelunky in under two minutes

One minute and fifty five seconds -- that's the new world-record any% time for Spelunky set by Pibonacci. It hurts my brain thinking about how many runs must have happened before the right conditions presented themselves for this to unfold. To think, I was happy to clear Olmec in under eight minutes for the "Speedlunky" achievement.

Timespinner evokes Symphony of the Night, but with time manipulation

Metroid producer talks two possible Metroid games photo
Metroid producer talks two possible Metroid games
by Chris Carter

Every year at E3, Metroid fans patiently wait for news on a new game -- whether it's 2D or 3D -- it doesn't matter. But for the most part, they don't really get their wish, including this week. According to Shigeru Miyamoto and Shinya Takahashi however, Metroid games (yes, games) are in the works.

Takahasi mentioned that there are two different approaches they could take -- the Metroid Prime style and the traditional 2D style. Ok, so talking about how great those games are is always fun, but here's the kicker -- Takahasi states in interview with Kotaku, "We feel that we need to take care of both of these styles of play. And the hope is that at some point in the near future we'll be able to share something about them."

The key word here is "hope," so that's not an actual confirmation -- but two Metroid games might be in the works. Wow!
