I've gotten pretty used to the fact that videogame ads typically don't do anything for me as I've already seen everything the makers of the game want the public to see writing for Destructoid. This DJ Hero ad featuring Daft Punk, however, actually wowed me. I just love how the image pans out and you get to see the game on Daft Punk's helmet. It probably also has something to do with my obsession over all things Daft Punk also.

The two other ads for DJ Hero after the break aren't so great though. The Justice vs. Public Enemy ad barely gives you a taste of the game and the GameStop ad is just kind of lame.

Which of the ads did you all enjoy?

The GameStop ad is SO ANNOYING!!! I've seen it countless times this week and while initially I garnered a pity chuckle now it's just annoying. Sad because a few GS ads have been decent so I though maybe they finally cleaned up their marketing department.

The Justice vs. Public Enemy one I likes mainly because I fucking love Genesis and Bring The Noise (you can barely tell it's the shitty Zakk Wylde version thanks to Genesis' thumping bass) but it was very short. I think it would've done better as a teaser way back when the game was announced.

The first one is easily the best of the three just because you get the game, a good track snippet, and of course our robot overlords emotionlessly approving.

Overall however none of them wow me.

Justice, yes.
Daft Punk, yes.

Gamestop, no.

Honestly, I'm very much not intending on buying this game (likely never to play it either), but I've held a steady eye on the track list.

Mmm, Genesis.

I love ads with 3 seconds or less of Gameplay, tells me what to avoid if even the publisher thinks its crap.

Boo.. The track list sucks. This isn't a DJ game just because you make a turntable controller. I want REAL DJ’s… Tiesto, Sasha, Digweed, Debo… This game isn’t DJ.. It’s hip Hop Remix garbage.

Daft Punk rules! But I've never been into DJ world, I'll pass this one.

The Daft Punk one was, indisputably, the best of the three. The second one I felt was lame. Didnt really show me anything of interest. The last one at least brought a chuckle at the 'sparkly balls' part. It'd certainly get annoying if I had to watch it more than once though.

Basically this game should all be Daft Punk tracks. Then I would love it. DJ Shadow as well. the demo at best buy has a great mix of tracks I hate, so playing it just made it a bad experience.
