T-minus two weeks until Banjo-Tooie hits Xbox LIVE Arcade photo

So, we already knew that the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Banjo-Tooie was coming this month, and that it would feature full "Stop 'N' Swop" support, but we didn't know the exact date ... and now we do. Mark your calendars for April 29, folks!

Let me take this opportunity to remind all potential buyers to start training your thumbs for the imminent Canary Mary-themed hell you are going to come up against. For any of you who are planning on running through Banjo-Tooie for the first time, I feel sorry for you, I really do.

But wait, there's more! Rare also showed off the game's Gamerpics to go along with this release date announcement, but they aren't terribly exciting. At the very least, I'm glad they opted out of making a Canary Mary Gamerpic. That would've been cruel, plain and simple.

I know this isn't the important part of the announcement, but that's the best they could come up with in terms of gamerpics?

I HATE CANARY MARY

The ONLY thing I haven't done in Tooie is beat her for a second time in Clouc Cuckooland, and her Cheato page has been holding me back from 100% completion for eight years.

Considering they made Banjo Kazooie a little easier for XBLA (saving after each note and such) I wouldn't be surprised if they eased up on Canary Mary. I will be buying this since I enjoyed Banjo Kazooie for the XBLA and haven't played Banjo Tooie.

@gatorsax2010

That was also the only thing I didn't do for Banjo-Tooie. Hopefully the 360 controller will be better suited for mashing? Either way, that avian bitch is going down.

Also, flamingo-Kazooie is ftw.

I completed the last jiggy of Banjo Tooie about five years after I had the game, and yes, it was the Canary Mary one. I just couldn't do it as a kid, but when I went back all those years later I completed it on my second attempt. It seemed much easier than I remembered.

The most recent time I played Banjo Tooie though, for some reason I hated it. The collectathon fare seemed much more apparent to me, and it were tedious running around giving people about ten different items I had to keep track of. I'll give it another shot with the 360 version, because I really want to enjoy this game again..

I got those gamerpics on Easter and the descriptions said, "If you haven't already, get the trial game." It upset me that I couldn't.
I just finished BK, and am looking forward to this. Although the gamerpics should have been like BK; where you earn them instead of paying.

I love having BK on the 360 so I probably will get Tooie. Although I can't remember it very well. Is it a hard game? Cuz you guys seem to be making it out to be hard or something...

Can't wait though.

Uh oh I still haven't done the last level on Banjo Kazooie (I've 100% every level previous). I've got two weeks to get er done!

WOOHOO!!!

I've already beaten the first one on XBLA twice (the moving jigsaw note glitch screwed me out of the 900 note achievement the first time). That's in addition to beating the original on N64 about 6 times.

But I've never got 100% on Tooie. I'm really looking forward to playing it, and not having the game drop to 8fps when you turn the camera.

I hope the FPS parts work better on the 360. I was debating if I was going to wait for this, or play it on my 64 again.. Looks like waiting was the way to go. Huzzah!

I personally can't wait to play BT with better FPS controls (hopefully), real Stop-N-Swop rewards, and a GOOD framerate.

Also, I need a wallpaper-sized version of that header right now
