So, we already knew that the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Banjo-Tooie was coming this month, and that it would feature full "Stop 'N' Swop" support, but we didn't know the exact date ... and now we do. Mark your calendars for April 29, folks!
Let me take this opportunity to remind all potential buyers to start training your thumbs for the imminent Canary Mary-themed hell you are going to come up against. For any of you who are planning on running through Banjo-Tooie for the first time, I feel sorry for you, I really do.
But wait, there's more! Rare also showed off the game's Gamerpics to go along with this release date announcement, but they aren't terribly exciting. At the very least, I'm glad they opted out of making a Canary Mary Gamerpic. That would've been cruel, plain and simple.

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
The ONLY thing I haven't done in Tooie is beat her for a second time in Clouc Cuckooland, and her Cheato page has been holding me back from 100% completion for eight years.
That was also the only thing I didn't do for Banjo-Tooie. Hopefully the 360 controller will be better suited for mashing? Either way, that avian bitch is going down.
Also, flamingo-Kazooie is ftw.
The most recent time I played Banjo Tooie though, for some reason I hated it. The collectathon fare seemed much more apparent to me, and it were tedious running around giving people about ten different items I had to keep track of. I'll give it another shot with the 360 version, because I really want to enjoy this game again..
I just finished BK, and am looking forward to this. Although the gamerpics should have been like BK; where you earn them instead of paying.
Can't wait though.
I've already beaten the first one on XBLA twice (the moving jigsaw note glitch screwed me out of the 900 note achievement the first time). That's in addition to beating the original on N64 about 6 times.
But I've never got 100% on Tooie. I'm really looking forward to playing it, and not having the game drop to 8fps when you turn the camera.
Also, I need a wallpaper-sized version of that header right now
