Syrup-rise! There's a MapleStory 2 coming and it's in 3D

5:00 AM on 12.16.2013

While this CGI trailer isn't likely to be totally representative of the final, in-game MapleStory 2, it's pretty damn adorable. It looks a bit like something out of Sony Pictures Animation. And those ample mushrooms are so cute!

I've never played MapleStory, but I know that it's still going strong today, which is impressive. It will be interesting to see how weathered fans and inquisitive newcomers react once it hits beta early 2014.

The 3D alone is a jarring change. Coupled with a new gameplay system, MapleStory fans may empty their bowels in confusion before skittering under the furniture, hissing as they go back to their familiar, original MapleStory.
