Last Friday we got a taste of what the Jedi Consular was all about as I drooled over the versatility of the class. Today the website has uploaded a video where developers of the game debate over which class is better: the Jedi Consular or the Imperial Agent.
Besides the opinions of the developers, this video does a decent job explaining how these two classes differ in terms of story and gameplay. The Imperial Agent always stays hidden and has access to the longest ranged weapons in the game while the Jedi Consular does more investigating and can either deal close-medium range damage or use defensive Force powers.
With SWTOR's release date nearing, are these videos doing anything to sway your opinion one way or another?

Most I can live with is a grey area...
I don't think you have to make the "bad" choices most of the time. I was kind of a goody-goody as a Bounty Hunter, letting people live left and right, and sticking it to the powerful when I got a chance. As far as I know, all classes have Dark and Light decisions to make.
If you have concerns about requiring cover all the time, during the beta I spent my time as a Scoundrel/Sawbones, and I was barely ever in cover.
The only time I'd "crouch" was to toss out a sabotage charge or to fire off an early fight Charged Shot. Otherwise I was running around, stealthed and shooting dudes in the back. It was a blast.
That's good to know. I only made it to an advanced class with Bounty Hunter, so I didn't get to experience what you did. I might reconsider which classes I try first, then.

You can make good choices on a "bad" character, and vice versa. Be a kind hearted Sith if you want to be. The dialogue supports it, although your companion might not like your answers too much, depending on who it is.
