I saw this bitch "test" the effects of video games in one of her self righteous TV shows. She let some kids a sports game and others play a war game and then "tested" them by having someone accidentally knock something off a desk and see how they reacted. Apparently the ones who played a sports game helping to pick it up while the ones who played a FPS just ignored it. There you go, the horrific effects of violent video games confirmed.
I was actually getting ready to ask WTH the riot was even about then I read Syn's post lol. This is why I shall forever hate humanity and will never forgive for it's wrong doings. Cause just as soon I I'm ready to forgive them, they do something to top themselves and make me say fuck humanity all over again. Where's all the research that says that any of these rioters actually play video games at all? Or how about the research into why they rioted at all in the first place? Whats funny about all this to me is that the UK has 1 thing that's synonymous with causing a riot and has been for a while now: Football (Soccer for us Yanks). Why aren't they blaming hooligans and Manchester United for the riots? They have caused far more violence and unrest in that country over the years then video games ever have. Hell even here in the states people riot because their team won or lost and no ones bothering to blame violence on real life, often highly violent, competitive sports that parents often not only condone but openly share with their kids on both sides of the ocean.

Kind of strange ho someone who usually so vehemently calls out the parents as the number one reason for misbehaving kids also very often lays the blame on videogames for the same problems.
It's either one or the other, lady. And these kids wouldn't even be PLAYING these "toxic" games if the parents were doing their job. Or the parents would at least be there to play the games with them in order to place the fake violence in its proper context.

While I agree her article is arrogant, I have to say that she doesn't *just* blame video games. She also cites anger against "reality programming" and the "over-sexualized pop videos" to name a couple. She does end the article with "What I believe in are parents taking responsibility for their children" and a few points that make sense.
Still, initially blaming video games is not a good way to start off your article. Blame human nature. We've been looting, killing, and destroying ourselves ever since we learned we could stand on two feet.
