It was only this morning that hints of a Steam version for Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP had entered the conversation; now we've got a confirmation from the powers that be. This is really happening, and sooner rather than later.

The game will first arrive on PC "before the next dark moon." According to the announcement video, it'll be available for purchase on April 16. As for the Mac build, the hint being offered is "before the summer solstice." The developers of S:S&S EP say it's "been minorly adapted to better suit player input via the two-button mouse, and some audiovisual elements have been subtly refined as appropriate..."

If I kept a list of games that could convince me to buy an iPad, Sword & Sworcery would probably sit firmly at the top. Thankfully, I've never been a list maker -- not even for groceries. Looks like my disorganization has finally paid off. Those making the trip to PAX East this weekend will want to swing by the Capy booth.

Review: Putty Squad

Of all of the games to get a PS4 remake, you'd probably never put Putty Squad, an SNES game from 1994, at the top of the list. But here we are in 2014 with a full-on re-imagining, with more or less the same platforming mechanics that still work nearly 20 years later. The only problem is, System 3 Software has opted to charge $29.99 for a decidedly dated game -- which is a bit of a problem.more
