Capcom very kindly let us know that it has a new Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix video for the viewing, and we have very kindly uploaded it for you. As you will no doubt attest, the game looks stunning even in a small Internet video player. This thing is going to be quite something on an HDTV.

Which begs the question, are you looking forward to this more, or are you all about Street Fighter IV? Both are coming out soon, which I still think is quite surprising on Capcom's part.

I was definitely looking more forward to HD remix for awhile, but that has since switched to SF4. Still though, this looks awesome.

Ending posts with a question = easy comment hits from weak minded fools like myself.

Damn, those were some beastly combos. I'm going to get my ass kicked online.

WHEN THE FUCK IS THIS GAME COMING OUT, CAPCOM?!

Could releasing both of these in the same month be a good thing? I mean, clearly it sucks for the people shelling out money for both, but does it also drum up more interest in both games? Corporate synergy, or some other douchebaggy catch phrase?

Reminds me of the first Killer Instict.

That's about as solid a compliment as I can give a fighting game.

I'm quite interested in both titles, but SF HD Remix will be out sooner and I'm an impatient sort of gamer. HD Remix cannot arrive soon enough.

So badass. More excited about this than IV for sure.

I hope the online launch is a success!! I'm sick of online being fail at launch, mainly because of all the complaining from whiny message board posters that follows...

I know the redrwan sprites are awesome, but the whole look of this game isn't quite as impressive as I'd hoped..maybe i just need to see it in it's HD glory..

It all depends on pricing. If this is cheap enough (10-15 for me) I will get it and IV. If this is 20, then I will need to think about it more. If this is over 20...then no deal--I will wait until IV comes out, consider reviews and hand-on comments and then get one or the other.

The beta is quite lovely on my HDTV, and I can't wait to see the rest of the game. I think the combos were prohibitively difficult because you need to be accurate down to the frames in order to keep them linked.. otherwise someone could just block in the middle or throw you.

As for both games, I welcome all the Street Fighter love.

This game is done; what in the world is holding it up?

A bunch of NYC Dtoiders played it a few weeks ago...seems like all the characters and stages were there...DO WANT RIGHT NOW!

Oh, and SFIV was lookin' and playin' good on both the 360 and PS3. The wait for these games are killing me :(

Didn't they just draw over the old sprites? I only ask because Bison and Zangief look considerably bigger than they did in the old games (Bison in particular). Hopefully that doesn't throw off the hitboxes.

prohibitively difficult combos means that they have to set up to do them correctly. Unless the conditions are perfect, you won't get these combos in game.

1) Timing needs to be exact. Considering they are using the same engine for this as the old SF, you can't just press the buttons and hope the combo comes out. Frame delays, engine delays, and resets come into play. The combo system is not nearly as forgiving as say, Marvel vs. Capcom.

2) Position needs to be exact. Alot of these combos require to be a up against, or close to the wall. If you notice, a lot of the combo's actually start will an extremely low cross over, forcing the opponent into the player, not away. Things like Chun-li's Super to Spinning Bird Kick wouldn't work in the open, because the super would push the person to far back.

Don't forget that they also start with a full meter. Something that does not happen in matches.

This and SFIV is like Sophie's choice. I can't neglect either one.

I'm definitely stoked for this! SSF2T will always hold an extra special place in my heart. I remember picking it up for my ghetto PC because my parents wouldn't let me get a SNES.

Because it was the first street fighter game I ever owned, I played the hell out of it. So Cammy, Fei Long, Dee Jay, and T. Hawk are some of my FAVORITE characters of all time. :)

Can't believe I get to see all the goodness in HD

I'm more excited for SF 4 just because of abel.

But I'm thinking SSF2T HD might just have a bigger online community just because of how popular that game still is in the fighting game community.

Also, auto starting movie players on the front page = fail.

OCremix wins.

though...i'm not sure why you'd bother with some of these combos. Especially if old school SFII games are more zoning. Gettin up close is like asking for a bitchslap.

Prohibitively difficult, because they must be done with the 360 D-pad.

Yeah, I went there.

It's a shame that it seems that they didn't add new frames of animation.

But on the other hand, it's a good thing that they didn't alter the voices. Look at 01'19". Tiger uppercut.

I was hoping for a more classic feel. I don't even remember being able to air juggle. But maybe I had a really old version of SFII.

@Face: This is Super Street Fighter II Turbo so it's the same game but in HD. That game only came out in the arcades at the time. I think it was the only SFII game that had combos and air juggle.

Wow. I however remember being able to do a twelve hit combo with fei-long in SSF new challengers, seems like a long time ago. It was the last SF I gave time to become proficient at.

Wow. I didn't think it was even possible to care about this game LESS than I already did.

The sprites are completely redrawn and they still look crappy.

If this game is more than $10 (and it probably will be judging by how long the game has been in development), there will be no reason to buy it at all.

I saw better longer combos than that when I used to play it at the arcade.
