Super Smash Bros. Brawl delayed in America and Japan photo

Visitors to the Smash DOJO today are in for some bad news. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been delayed in both America and Japan:

Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we’ve had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.

I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience.

Rumors were flying around all over the place in the past week about the delay and now it's official. The Japanese version has also been pushed back to the 31st of this month as well. The European version is still set for when Hell freezes over. 

A month delay isn't too bad, but it still sad to hear this. At least I'll have more time to find a Wii now. How do you all feel about the delay?

Disappointing, but not surprising.

Nintendo gamers are used to this.The first-party titles are truly few and far between.

Oh well, at least we can learn more about the game once it is released in Japan.

I wasn't mad about the first pushback. Mainly cause so much shit was coming out.

Now hearing this one, i'm happy and pissed. Happy cause more time for DMC4 and DW6 when it hits. Pissed cause this crap has been pushed back for the 3rd time. I'm getting quite tired of these delays....

I just realized that Brawl now comes out the Sunday of the weekend my spring break starts. That means I can devote a full week to it with no repercussions for skipping classes. This is actually kind of a good thing now.

What? Like there isn't gonna be an english language option for the menu screens, right?

"A week for them = a month for us" is some bogus logic. I propose that there's a connection between this and the events of March 9, 1945, in which American B-29 bombers attacked Tokyo, Japan with incendiary bombs.
