The last we had heard from the cooperative Mars excavation game Super Motherload was a failed Kickstarter campaign and word that it would eschew WiiWare in favor of "other major consoles." That was just one year ago, but despite the setbacks the team at XGen Studios kept working on its title, and one of the "other major consoles" is the upcoming PlayStation 4.

The title has been approved on Steam Greenlight for release, and it's set to be a launch title for the PS4, available on November 15. From these screenshots and the video above, it's clear that Super Motherload has received a nice graphical upgrade in the year since its Kickstarter. Those robotic helicopter drill tractors are looking sharp.

Wow, a Humble Indie Bundle I'm going to buy

It's been some time since I've last gone in on a Humble Indie Bundle. These days, if a game is around long enough to wind up packaged at a discounted rate, it's already made its way into my library, or I'm just not interested...more

Laser Fury looks like Diablo but neon and radical

I do not mean to suggest that Diablo is not good, but the dreary look never really grabbed me, even with Diablo III's improvements in that respect. Laser Fury, on the other hand, takes a hold of my eyes immediately...more

SteamWorld Heist's first screenshot leaves me wondering

While I tend to get annoyed when studios put out a lone screenshot, I can tolerate the practice depending on the circumstances. Image & Form doesn't have much in the way of assets for SteamWorld Heist, its turn-based foll...more
