Super Meat Boy's second boss is an adorable nightmare photo

When I first saw the World 1 boss of Super Meat Boy, I just assumed that the game would have you to going up against one of Dr. Fetus's giant machines on a semi-regular basis. That's how Dr Wily and Dr Robotnik roll, so why would Dr Fetus be any different? I'm delighted to say that I was wrong. Super Meat Boy wont be that cliche', as proven by the giant, cannibalistic, humanoid, adorable dweller you see before you.

C.H.A.D. is this thing's name, and you'll met him at the end of World 2. As you can see, he looks like Meat Boy, but much bigger, and with teeth that have clearly been around the block a few times. I wonder what the guy eats? Probably meat.

The press will get to fight C.H.A.D. at E3 2010, and you know I'll be there to give you some hand-on video coverage. Super Meat Boy is set to hit XBLA, Steam, and WiiWare sometime this year.

I'm still wondering how they're going to do the WiiWare release- split it into 2 for halfprice or just axe content... seeing as the developer said they couldn't fit it within Nintendo's teeny MB limit.

Who else remembers the shitty horror movie that this guy's name is derived from?

"This looks fun, if a bit weak in the graphics department.

And I can recommend Rocket Knight if you want some retro 2D action to keep you busy in the meantime."

Funny you should say that because I think this game looks great and the only thing putting me off getting Rocket Knight is the horrific looking stylised 3D. I'd have much preferred sprite work.

I thought I had reached some sort of scientific limit of how much I could want this game. Apparently not.

@neoREgen

As things currently stand, they're going to leave out all multiplayer and online-driven content from the WiiWare release. I hope the price reflects that, though.

Bummer, no love for PSN. Oh well, it's to be expected I suppose.

@ Boogy- I get the sense that Team Meat would get the game on PSN if they could. Sadly, they're only two guys.

Maybe someday though.

I'll definately get this as soon as it is released. Never knowing that there was a flash game of meat boy before, I tried it today and was a little pissed at the controls. But maybe it's just me. Accurate wall jumping seemed impossible for me to get it right and the on level (I think it was 2-1) where you have to drop down to a small platform got me rage quitting. First time in this room and I made it nearly to the end. The next tries I always got killed when dropping down to this platform. I just hope this was really just a prototype for the retail. I like ridiculously hard games but when I start swearing about the controls and not about myself the game does something wrong and to be honest. Few games crack the sweet spot where they got perfect controls but hard platforming. Knytt is an indie title where it's done right. (Oh and I mean the really hard user levels of Knytt ;) )

@ Enzi- The build I played of Super Meat Boy last year had perfect controls. They also added a run button, which made it feel even more like an evil version of Super Mario Bros.

@ J. Holmes
Run button? Evil Mario Bros? Sweet. I think you just re-sold me on it, considering I was a little taken aback by the flash game's impossible keyboard controls and somethings the developer said/did that made them seem a little douche-esque.

@ GohanGVO
Thank you for the info! Considering I didn't know there were going to be online or multiplayer features, I guess I'm okay with them being omitted. Single player platforming reflects my style more anyway.

It's all about the dpad for me. The 360s es horrible. The wii's isn't phenomenal, but it's tons better.
