Super Mario Wii gets its own NASCAR car photo

I don't watch this "NASCAR," and I don't know who "Denny Hamlin" is, but there's a reason I just typed those two things -- Nintendo.

This Saturday, NASCAR pro Hamlin will get behind the wheel of a customized New Super Mario Bros. Wii car, competing in the Able Body Labor at Phoenix International Raceway. It's the No. 20 GameStop Toyota, and it looks like the Mushroom Kingdom threw up all over it.

The design is to promote the release of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which hits shelves this Sunday. Check back tomorrow for our full review. Of the game, not the car.

That still won't make me watch the "Drive Fast, Turn Left" show.

I was talking to this team this weekend (went to the race as my soapbox derby prize) and they said they run a different game on the car each week. I was quite surprised they were not advertising MW2 for that week. I guess it didn't need the help...

@TheBigFeel

Trust me, anything with Mario's name on it doesn't need the help, either.

The Department of Redundancy Department should also have its own Nascar car.

According to my old man Denny Hamlin is a good driver who won a race recently.

Joey Logano drives the #20 car. Gamestop is one of his sponsors and he has had a Call 0of Duty car in the past.

Is it me or Super Mario Bros. Wii is having a lot of unnecessary-but-fair hype.

I will watch NASCAR when they finally add ramps to the tracks. Not a minute sooner.
