More Nintendo trivia for you. Did you know the Super Mario Bros. theme has lyrics? Of course, the theme is apparently called "Go Go Mario" and is originally in Japanese but lucky for us the poster of the video above was kind enough to include both the Japanese and English lyrics.

The video clip was taken from the "Mario and Zelda Big Band live" concert that was held on September 14th, 2003 at the Nihon Seinenkan Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The clip was part of a mini-DVD that came with a UK Gamecube magazine.

Hit the jump for the English lyrics and for the real Mario lover's out there, I want to see an audio or video clip of you singing the English version of the song.

Thanks James for the tip!

Go Go Mario

Today, full of energy, Mario is still running, running
Go save Princess Peach! Go!
Today, full of energy, Mario runs
Today, full of energy, jumping!
Today, full of energy, searching for coins
Today, keep going, Mario!

Get a mushroom - it's Super Mario!
Get a flower - it's Fire Mario!

Goomba! Troopa! Buzzy Beetle! Beat them all!
Mario is always full of energy and strong!

[Spoken] The only one who can reverse the spell that has captured the Mushroom People is Princess Peach. But Princess Peach is hidden underground, in a far-off castle. Ah, the days of peace... if we could once more return to those days... to save Princess Peach and bring peace back to the Mushroom Kingdom, that is why Mario is on his journey today.

Today, full of energy, Mario is still running, running
Go and beat the Koopa tribe, go!
Today, full of energy, Mario runs
Today, full of energy, jumping!
Today, full of energy, searching for coins
Today, keep going, Mario!

Get a star - become invincible!
Quickly, go save Princess Peach!

Lakitu! Blooper! Cheep Cheep! Beat them all!
Mario is always full of energy and strong!

Today, full of energy, Mario is still running, running
He's made it to the castle and gets fireworks!
Lightly sidestepping the Hammer Bros.
Show the last of your power, Mario!
It's been a long journey but it's nearly at an end
You've done it, you've done it! You've defeated Bowser!

Princess Peach says "Thank you"
Mario's got a great big heart!

Mario's adventure is over for now, but
Mario's dream lives forever...

HAHA,

Novelty-Sized Mario rocked!!

Although, I wanted the lyrics to be something different to the melody of the music.

I feel like I've seen this somewhere before, but the video is new to me. That woman is a professional singer? Japanese people are so weird...

Bull shit, it you're a true Mario fan, you'll send in a video singing in Japanese. So, I guess I'm not a real fan...

And for some reason, that chick got five times hotter when she started singing.

Apparently, Mario is full of energy.

The original song was made as NES game music, so they probably didn't intend to have lyrics for it, but when the song grew to such popularity they made up some lyrics to go along with it.

I was under the impression that the Super Mario Bros. theme lyrics included such concepts as "swinging your arms from side to side" and that you had to "take one step, and then again".

I call shenanigans.

Damn it Shawn you beat me to it. Oh well, here goes anyway.

Of course it has words. This is how it goes:

Swing your arms
from side to side
Let’s do the Mario!
All together now
Swing your arms
from side to side
Let’s do the Mario!
All together now
Just—like—that

that was... odd. I did enjoy the big band style of the song, but those translated lyrics are just a little too... wierd

yeah, these lyrics are odd. is this official from Nintendo?

i like to think of the Super Mario Bros. theme song as untainted, but this taints it. These lyrics suck, just stick to the music please.

Was that lady part of the band or was she hired by Nintendo to accompany the band for that particular performance?

Terrible.

Cpt. Lou Albano should be furious about these lyrics. If you cant swing your arms from side to side it just aint Mario.

Wow... that lady cannot sing. They either needed to bring the melody up a few keys or get someone with a lower register to do it.

I was sick of losing on online gambling and sick of my Credit Card debt, but then I found this easy online job. A Couple hours a day. and I’m making Money that is liquid un-like the money in your sports account. Don’t you want an online account that only goes up? I thought I could make it in Gambling, but the swings are too much. Get yourself involved in something safe. Get the thousands of dollars you want, but cant seem to hold onto gambling.
