Along with the news that the Nintendo 3DS has dropped to just $169.99 comes some news on some of the upcoming Mario game releases for the US and Japan. First off, Super Mario 3DS has an official name and it's Super Mario 3D Land and it comes out this November. Kind of a nice throwback to the Super Mario Land games from the original Game Boy days, no?
Mario Kart 7 has also been given a release window and that's December. Hopefully we get a better name for this one. Kid Icarus: Uprising still doesn't have a specific release date but it's still on track for a Holiday release.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Hopefully Theatrhythm and Tales of the Abyss will be out by the end of the year,I have a feeling that my 3DS and Vita will own a huge chunk of my time this winter, can't wait.
I doubt Theatrhythm will be out in America before the end of the year, unless Square has confirmed otherwise, but between these two, Devil Survivor: Overclocked, and Tales of the Abyss, my 3DS will be getting lots of play... to say nothing of other games coming out!
Super Mario 3D Land is an awkward name, it sort of makes it sound like an SML remake, it sound's unnatural since you'd expect to say it Super Mario Land 3D, I don't understand why they didn't just call it Super Mario Land 4, or just keep it Super Mario 3DS. Super Mario 3DS was an okay name by me because it reminded me of SM64 even when you shorten it to SM3DL it sounds weird, like I'm saying Smedle. Goofy name aside I'm really excited for it.

I think Level 5 is going to star publishing the Layton games in the U.S. now, Since they just opened an American branch they did a Poll of what Level 5 games would they like to be localized, and both Layton 3DS, and Layton vs. Wright were on that poll.
Super Mario Kart
Mario Kart 64
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Mario Kart: Arcade GP
Mario Kart: Arcade GP 2
Mario Kart DS
Mario Kart Wii
Or are we not counting Arcade GP since it's Arcade only? It was its own games after all.
"You ain't got no problem, Jules. I'm on the mother. Go back in there, chill them fanboys out and wait for the Mario, who should be coming directly."
"You sending the Mario?"
"Oh, you feel better?"
"Shit Ninty, that's all you had to say!"
Barring a massive contempt for all things Nintendo and/or poverty and/or blindness(if the latter, you're wasting your time having your computer/man-servant read articles on a site devoted to a form of entertainment that you cannot partake of unless you are a character in a dubious MSNBC 'news' item), between the recent 3DS price drop and these two games, the excuses for not purchasing is very gradually receding into non-existence.
Christmas/Black Friday sales will further sweeten the deal, giving your wallet the diabeetus...in a good way.
I really hope they don't stick with Mario Kart 7. I'd rather have Mario Kite Kart. I'm alright with Super Mario 3D Land (it would be nice if they switched 3D and Land however).
