I haven't cared about MarioKart since the 64 era. But I have to admit that the hang gliding looks really fun.
Fingers crossed for less rubberbanding in Mario Kart (fat chance, I know). But dear god I cannot wait for Super Mario 3D Land

Mario Kart on DS was by far the best installment, IMO. If the last one was any indication, this one should be pretty good.

Just to jerk everyone around, Nintendo should raise the price back up to $250 for the holiday season right before Mario Land 3D comes out.

Definitely preordering Mario Land, and thank you guys for reminding me I need to go ahead and jump on Tales of the Abyss, too. I'm halfway glad that Vita and The Witcher aren't coming out until 2012, that definitely helps free up some cash for these tasty morsels.
They obviously should have released the 3DS in November when all of their currently released games were finished, put them all out at once, and then sold these 2 new games weeks apart. But we all know the 3DS has been an epic failure so far.

I'm not getting mario kart until more friends and family get a 3DS, it's more fun that way. While I'm not the biggest fan for 3D mario games I'm more than likely to get it, I NEED justification.
Still waiting on the next version of the 3DS with a better battery, but SM3DL and MK7 may make me submit.
I am worried that Super Mario Land 3DS will be a 4 hour game with little replay value. The system isn't selling well and Nintendo is bleeding money. I fear they cut corners with this one. And I have history on my side.
When the Gamecube launched and it did not do well, almost every Nintendo franchise took a hit...Almost. While we got great ones like Metroid prime, we also got extremely limited games like Luigis Mansion that could be beaten in 4 hours, and Warioland which could be beaten in 4 hours as well.
Even Super Mario Sunshine was short compared to Super Mario 64. Wind Waker also had a ton of corners cut. If that game didn't make you sail so much, it could be beaten in about 6 hours. Nintendo cuts corners when they are suffering profit wise, and I have a feeling we are going to see shorter, less robust entries in our favorite franchises.

My body is ready. You would think Mario Kart would come out first, considering it seems like it'd be an easier game to make. :P Either way, I can't wait. I probably won't have a christmas, so I get to enjoy these early. Woohoo for having money.

Will get both. They will be my first 3DS-specific games, after buying the system at launch. Been playing Link's Awakening and Dragon Quest 4 & 6 on it since.
