Ugh...Mario Galaxy can easily work on the 3DS. The levels don't even have to change much, I mean Animal Crossing has a roundness to it. Is THAT hard?
Animal crossings roundness doesn't affect gameplay tho, there's no platforming nor enemies that you can take cheap shots from off screen. Unless they introduce some new mechanic where u bump into villagers and are forced to listen to their daily squabbles and activities.
Just saying, before you all get riled up about Nintendo "ditching plans" again.

Download the Mario Galaxy pack and be saddened of what could've been.
Like the kind of meat that reggie would have.
Huh?
Mario 3D was perfectly fine on that "small" screen, even on the parts that the screen would pan way above you as you were dropping with the heli-box. I get that they're two different games, and Galaxy 2 had some wide pan areas, but that sounds like a very weird excuse - Nintendo is a master of cameras and could make it work.
Carry on then...
While this might be true, I sincerely hope they develop another Mario game for 3DS.
For the DS, they only made one original Mario game (New SMB).
I hope they don't just rest on their laurels and just put out SM3DLand, I'm already almost 100% complete (just need to finish the last Special world on world S-8 and get about 6 more coins total - and damn, some of those coins are a bitch to get). It would be nice to see more than one Mario game (not including all the BS games like mario and sonic at the olympics, etc.)
They made several Mario lands on the original Gameboy and Gameboy Advance, I wonder why they did'nt do the same with the DS? Hopefully they will make sequels or something else in addition to Super Mario 3D land on 3DS... (especially since you apparently "disliked" Mario Kart 7, LOL).
I'm looking forward to luigis mansion 2, although I played the first game last night (on my bc wii) and it has not aged well..... I'm faithful that the Big N will make the sequel an alltogether "better" game.
Maybe they did want to make it, but are just afraid of the review score you might give it. Thanks a lot for doing your job Jim Sterling, you've ruined Nintendo! ;)
Gamers: "FUCK U YES IT WOULD U SUCK LOLOL"
Awesome.
It's just as well though, since new games are always preferable to ports.
... There's more than just the star coins to get, you'll get the real final level by passing each level with Mario, Luigi AND a gold flag.
Personally I don't see the difference between porting this and their porting Mario 64 for the lesser DS when it was first launched but its not a big deal, Mario 3D looks great and probably plays great, and it Galaxy 2 would have been a possible groan for anyone whos already played it(possibly multiple times) already. But I'm suspecting this was just Nintendo wanting to do a quick thing and it turning out to have been more work then they wanted.
It sounds like they used it in the development of 3D land to get a feel for a 3D mario on a portable
