Super Hexagon sells 45,000 copies
Destructoid's new obsession Super Hexagon has been downloaded approximately 45,000 times, according to creator Terry Cavanagh. This is encouraging news, as not only is Mr. Cavanagh a talented designer, Super Hexagon itself is truly great and deserving of this early success. The super slick iOS game may look simple in appearance, but the quick, frenetic gameplay makes it one of the most unbelievably addictive games I have ever played on my phone. I try to tell everyone about Super Hexagon, so I take full credit for at least a few dozen of those downloads. In fact, I just got someone to download it while typing this. Make the new total sales for Super Hexagon a cool 45,001. Super Hexagon has sold approximately 45,000 copies [Joystiq] Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)It's such an awesome game. The sense of accomplishment you get from it is the best. There is also a major sense of failure, but the accomplishment outweighs it! I've never heard of this game. Who's Terry Cavanaugh? Does Terry enjoy waffles? That's kind of a big deal for me. Just beat my old record of 83.06 by almost 1 whole second! That's right baby, 84.04. Once it goes "Hexagon" I have to constantly reassure myself that I'm in control, even though I'm totally not. That number's almost at 50k now, unfortunately that also includes people who pirated the game (because of the way Game Center works). So hopefully actual paid for downloads are still high enough for him to keep making games like this on iOS.
I'm only on 40.39 :( Great game. I don't have an iOS device though, so I have to pry my girlfriends iPhone away from her if I want to play. Hoping for some ports soon. Android, PC, Vita. Anything and everything. It's fantastic, but I'm so bad at it. Looking forward to stopping all this traveling and getting some proper sleep. Hopefully it'll be more manageable then 6:00 AM on 05.24.2013 Tetris Blitz now out, free for iOS and AndroidTetris Blitz is now available on iOS and Android for free.
