While the teaser may not be very revealing (or original), THQ has nonetheless announced that it will be releasing the sequel to Atari’s Stuntman, entitled Stuntman: Ignition, this summer for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The original Stuntman was a pretty frustrating game (with horrendous load times), but offered something new to the almost-stale racing genre by asking players to participate in different stunt driving sequences from various fictional movies. Not only did I have a pretty fun time with it, but all at once it helped me fulfill my childhood fantasies of driving fast cars, jumping over tall things, and being in a movie.
If Ignition can iron out all the kinks from the original, this may be a game to look out for during the usual summer gaming drought.

Meet the rest of the team
Well they've had, what, six years to work on the control issues? If they're not ironed out by now I won't give it the time of day, but I did mildly enjoy it back in the day.
I played this game with my friend at a cottage his family rented one year. He had the presence of mind to bring along his PS2 so we spent most of the time playing some games we'd rented before going. Stuntman was one of them and it was pretty fun but we spent most of our time playing GTA Vice City. I'm not sure I would buy a sequel. Maybe rent it.
I freaking loved Stuntman. I did find it difficult, but not impossibly so. The only thing I didn't like were the load times, but I got over it. Great game and I look forward to the sequel.
I completed the original Stuntman. I loved that game, a nice spin on the driving genre. Needless to say, if a sequel comes to the 360 anytime soon, I will definitely pick it up.
I tested a build of it about four or so months ago. They only had a few tracks up, but the engine was seriously fun.
mmm... I love it when someone pays me to play videogames.

1) Easily one of my favorite games on the PS2, and one that took up some of the most time I spent on the console.
2) The most frustrating game I've ever played...nothing has ever gotten me more pissed off.
But I still love the original, and I will embrace this sequel with everything I've got.
Also, Kokomo.

BUT. I. CAN'T. STOP. PLAYING.
The mark of a truly fun game.
......"shit." <tries again and fails>
<little 9th grade brain blows up>

I like that better, anyway.
