Check out this WIP footage of one of Sophie Houlden's current projects, an iOS title called Leaper. That's just one of the many games she's plugging away at. The first game of Sophie's that I'd ever played was a little abstract obstacle course iOS title SWIFT*STITCH (available now for free!), but since then I've discovered a veritble cornucopia of titles in her library (many of them created for the online game jam Ludum Dare). My favorite is probably the The.Domestic. It's about how having a job is the worst. It's just like Animal Crossing thrown in reverse. Hey, that sort of rhymed!

We'll be talking to Sophie about what it's like to transition from making free games to commercial titles for iOS, what got her into game development, how she'd like the industry to evolve moving forward, Guild Wars 2 and whatever else we get excited about.
