I really wish Nintendo would get off their asses and make Metroid Dread. You can't tease sexy sidescrolling Metroid action and then only give us first person and 3d hit-or-miss games, dang it!

Sup Holmes: Konjak explains it all
We have a very special guest on this week's Sup, Holmes?. All the way from Sweden, it's the one and only Joakim "Konjak" Sandberg! Like last week's guest Jasper Byrne, Konjak is a handsome European man who's has worked on big name games (like Contra 4) solo projects (like Noitu Love 2 and The Iconoclasts) and even some free fan games (like Legend of the Princess). He's a master of animation, pixel art, and game design, and we're lucky to have him on the show. We're also lucky to have yet another $30 code from Threadless to give away this week. We'll be announcing last week's winner before we toss another hot trivia question your way, so tune in if you like videogames and/or free stuff, and submit your answers to holmessupholmes@gmail.com. The stream starts on Sunday, May 6th at 1pm PST/4PM EST. Jump in the chat and help this kitten grow into a full grown cat! [We would like to apologize for the audio issues present in this recording. Our engineer, Sinistar, has issued the following warning, "BEWARE: LIVE PROGRAMMING."] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Still wish we'd get a new sidescroller Metroid game like the GBA games. Put it on the 3DS with some nifty 3D effects and the map on the smaller screen like the DS Castlevania games did. if you couldnt tell from my twitter posts and my site, konjak is by far my favorite indie (right along with jasper bryne and vlambeer) Have to agree with him on the part with the boss-battles- whenever I fought that big ugly-faced thing with the long arms in Metroid Fusion, I always felt like the developers had given him a pattern I couldn't avoid. Most frustrating fight I had, for sure. I hope the chat gets reposted since Konjak and Holmes are both oldshool 2D nuts I bet the conversation was intresting. I'm anxious to learn if his regular speaking voice is just like the one we hear in his Metroid Fusion video. I'd be totally cool with it if it is. It was a great episode, guys! Joakim was just as much fun to see/hear as his twitter feed is to read! Ah, damn, I've only watched the last fifteen minutes or so, it was fun though. That "Juakim Learns from Metroid" video is hilarious. I love Fusion. I've been replaying it off and on for a few months now, and I'm stuck on Nigtmare, even thogh I've beaten it 2 or 3 times before! Grr! Nightmare certainly lives up to his name. I was distraught when I eventually faced him in Metroid: Other M only to quickly realize that it wasn't such a spirit-crushing boss that time around. Ridley-X can be a little tough too, but I always seem to beat him last second.
I really wish Nintendo would get off their asses and make Metroid Dread. You can't tease sexy sidescrolling Metroid action and then only give us first person and 3d hit-or-miss games, dang it! after watching the reupload its very evident that Joakim is an artistic type, Looking forward to 2020 :D 4:00 PM on 05.17.2013 Why Insomniac decided against making Resistance 4Although Insomniac Games finished its work on the Resistance series with Resistance 3, that didn't stop Burning Skies from happening, unfortunately.
