Sup Holmes gets badly hurt with devs of Hotline Miami

2:40 PM on 11.04.2012

[Destructoid's Director of Communications Hamza Aziz asked Jonathan Holmes to make a show called 'Sup, Holmes?' so that Destructoid could later sell a t-shirt that says 'Sup, Holmes?' on it. This is that show. Subscribe to the podcast feed and find more episodes here.]

Today on Sup Holmes we'll be joined by Jonatan Söderström and Dennis Wedin of Dennaton Games, creators of Hotline Miami, one of the more talked about PC games of the year. It's rare for a game from such a small team to make such a splash during the holiday rush of "AAA" titles, and it's not even a platformer! In fact, it's hard to know how to describe the game. It's sort of like an ultra-violent Adventures of Lolo, but with a message? I'm not exactly sure.

We'll be talking with the lads from Dennaton about what inspired them to make Hotline Miami, on working with pirates to help the game succeed, on potential ports to other platforms, Keyboard Drumset F*cking Werewolf, and much more.

Throw on your pig mask and join us in the chat starting at 1pm PST/4pm EST.

Conflicks has a great alternate history setup with anachronistic space colonialism

Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci discovered MetaMatter? Well, not in real life, but in the universe of Conflicks he did. It turns out all it takes is to separate a chicken egg's yolk from its albumen, and to heat up the y...more

I'm afraid not enough people will play Hohokum

Hohokum isn't an easily described game. It's one of those cases where it's not until you try it for yourself that you fully grasp the appeal, which can be a tough sell. Yeah, the whimsical art direction is terrific, but the ...more

Review: Sokobond

Chemistry is governed by a definite set of rules. Opposite charges attract, like dissolves like, matter is always conserved. There are more rules than just those, but one of the great things about the study of matter and its ...more
