Sup Holmes arrests development with Rami and J.W.

2:30 PM on 05.26.2013

Last time we had Rami Ismail of Vlambeer on the Sup Holmes, he and his studio were probably best known for Super Crate Box. Since then, things have really exploded for the studio. Ridiculous Fishing took the world by storm on iOS, while Luftrouasers is poised and ready to blow up on PS3, PS Vita, Mac and PC.

It's been a long road for the two man team, and I happy to say that we'll be joined by both of them this afternoon for a online live stream chat for all to cherish. We'll be talking to Rami and J.W. about their growing success, how they choose their collaborators, where they want to go moving forward, and how they plan to get there. They may even announce a whole new game (but they totally might not, because that's Vlambeer).

Join us at 1pm PST/4pm EST for all the conversations between three men and a Sinistar you can handle.

Extrasolar's mobile interface got a slick update

Extrasolar has always been a tough sell for hardcore gamers, in my eyes. Though it was one of my top games of last year, most readers tune out when they see a description like "free-to-play science simulator," and going any f...more

Y2K is a surrealist fantasy told through the lens of a Murakami-loving hipster

Y2K began with protagonist Alex Eggleston returning to his his hometown from college. I watched him gaze out of bus windows until the scene shifted to him sharing a seat with a man in a panda costume. This was jarring enough to give Alex reason to look completely shaken and offended, and as the jaunty soundtrack suggested, should have felt super quirky and weird. It didn't.more
