Sup Holmes: Anthony Burch cuddles my mind

11:14 AM on 07.29.2012

[Destructoid's Director of Communications Hamza Aziz asked Jonathan Holmes to make a show called 'Sup, Holmes?' so that Destructoid could later sell a t-shirt that says 'Sup, Holmes?' on it. This is that show. Subscribe to the podcast feed and find more episodes here.]

Anthony Burch is one of my heroes, which is weird, because I'm way older than him. That's just one of the reasons I'm so jealous of the guy. He's got a hit video series on Gametrailers called Hey Ash Whatcha Playin' (which got its start here on Dtoid), he's one of the writers on the upcoming AAA title Borderlands 2, he's got a brilliant mind for game design, he's funny, he's got an awesome beard sometimes, the list goes on and on. He's like the videogame industry equivalent to Superman. He even wears his underwear on the outside of his pants.

If he were still working for Dtoid, I bet he'd be the one that hosts this very show, which is one of the reasons I'm so excited to have him on. Join us at 1pm PST/4pm EST for a fun chat about everything that I love about Anthony Burch. I'm sure it's going to make him really uncomfortable.

Meaty turn-based RPG Pier Solar HD hits Wii U in November

WaterMelon's homebrew project Pier Solar and the Great Architects pushed the Sega Genesis to its limits as a new release in 2010 (!) which I thought was courageous, at the time. Still do. The game shipped on an actual cartrid...more
