Suikoden now available on PlayStation Network. Sony may have my money photo

You can't find copies of these games for love nor blowjobs in my home country, but Konami has been gracious enough to release Suikoden on the PlayStation Network. I am pretty sure this is excellent news and we should be happy.

Priced at a sweet $5.99, this old PlayStation classic is considered to be one of the best RPGs the system ever housed, and the franchise overall has earned a reputation as a genre flag bearer. Either way, it's shot to the top of my PSN "things to buy" list. A list that, to be honest, includes about two other titles at best.

Press release after the jump.

Suikoden Now Available for PLAYSTATION®Network

God I hope they don't release Suikoden 2 on it. I have it with case and manual, and it's like the most valuable game in my collection :-/

Everyone who owns a PS3 needs to own this. I don't care if you like RPG's or not, this is one of the greatest games ever made and it should be a felony not to own it now that it's available in this form.

This game is amazing, any RPG fan should definitely pick this up for that price. I bought my copy the day after Christmas for like $15 in a bargain full of 'em. I was shocked to see it there, the game was only out for about a year or so at that time.

This gives me great hope for PSone games on PSN. Hopefully we can slowly start to catch up the Japanese store.

Uhm, I'd rather have the second one since that one has better army management. 100+ characters with no pictures or any help with keeping track of them frustrated me when I was 10.

Yeah, I've recently discovered the old PS1 games on PSN. It started with someone on this site recomending Jumping Flash and the next thing you know I've got like six PS1 games on my ps3. Right now I'm playing wild arms. Once I finish that I think I will pick this up.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

Definately one for any RPG fan to pick up. Suikoden 1 and 2 are probably the most sought after PSOne games ever.

I'd put it on PSP if it wasn't for Dissidia, Gundam Vs. Gundam, and Prinny taking up so much room.

QUICK, PUT IT ON EBAY NOW WHILE THEY'RE STILL TIME!

Actually, the JP PSN store had it out for awhile I think, and then there was the PSP ports of I and II, so you may have a good little while before it drops.

And actually, it would still be worth a pretty penny since it's a REAL copy.

AWESOME. I love PS1 rpgs.....but I'd miss not having the sweet double jewel case.

If they put out all of the ps1 RPGs on the Playstation Network, they'd be zillionaires....and why not, it's not like the developers are making money off the eBay auctions.

I'm amazed. Seemed like Konami hated money. So now I own 1, 3, 4, 5, and Tactics. Come onnnnnnnn 2!

I've had a copy of this game since it first came out and I love it to death, but I still bought it without a second thought after haphazardly logging onto the PlayStation Store and seeing that it was up there.

Even though I already own it (and play it once a year, at least), I bought it because I need to let Konami know that I still have a continued interest in the franchise. Also, any reason to stop sticking my Suikoden discs into places that could harm them is good enough by me.

Back when I was really into JRPGs, I drove myself crazy trying to find a copy of this game. Now that I'm just about over them (Lost Odyssey notwithstanding), I can get it for six bucks? Sure, I'll check it out.
