Suck down this Fable III concept art photo

Fable III is in development, and we can hear the hype wheels slowly begin to grind and turn. It's starting small, as usual, with this simple piece of concept art showing off a new look for Bowerstone. Things will progress in due course, however, with Peter Molyneux saying that this game will brush our teeth and fly us to the Moon.

There's not too much to say about this. It's a painting of a town. If you're really into Fable, you might want to print it out and hang it on your wall. If you're not really into Fable, you probably don't want to do that. It's your choice.

That's how the game would look running on PS3. Fable 3 will look slightly better than 2. Just like Forza.

Er, my comment disappeared. Well trying again. All I ask is that they don't assume everyone has huge screens and the ability to read microprint...

50% of that will be explorable.

It's hilarious how Fable was intended to be the most open-ended RPG ever and it turned out to be the most basic, boring, repetitive game in the genre.

With good voice acting.

That concept art makes it look like you CAN DO ANYTHING!

That was bad. Oh well, I got the phrase in. The concept art is actually really damn nice, save for the lack of colour diversity. It's like Gears of Chicken-kicking.

"But sir... how is this supposed to make any se-"

"Stairs! And make with the hackneyed unattended boxes and barrels!"

Fable has always had great concept art and this is no exception.

I'm still planning on playing Fable 2 one of these days. Unlike, well, the sane people, I loved the original Fable. In fact I just finished playing it again and still do. Annoying accents and all.

The paradox is that Peter Molyneux ruins Fable for me, but there is no Fable without that arrogant bastard.

As King, the game's supposed to have some RTS elements allowing you to control armies. I wonder how that will work outside of combat?

I just finished Fable II, and I liked what I played of it okay, so it's neat to start hearing about Fable III now. All I really ask for in the sequel is a less buggy experience with more robust co-op. This concept art neither confirms nor denies that.

I can see the interviews with Peter Molyneux now.

"How is Fable III different from Fable II?"
"So you see.. there's a cat. And the cat dies."

@Xzyliac

I, too loved the first, and I highly recommend you pick up the second. I played them back to back and was very happy with the improvements. It wasn't a perfect game, and certainly didn't live up to the hype, but no game does. It's just a shame that people let Molyneux get in the way of enjoying themselves.

But Fable 3 still won't be able to match what the Molyneux said Fable 1 would be.
Can anyone answer why Peter Molynuex has such love for the fable franchise, why can't he expand on Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper, or Populous albeit with title changes as he has no rights to the names themselves. Seriously, the Molyneux imagined, let alone the real, Fable is not that great.

Uh Oh...The molyneux gears are beginning to turn! It all starts with a simple image of an updated 'bowerstone market' and ends up telling us we can breed horses with spacehips and fly around trusty metal-maned steads. Of course the beastiality option will probably come into play, too. Just make sure to wear a condom, ITS INNOVATIVE!
