Such smooth armpits! NBA Live 14 gameplay trailer

4:45 PM on 10.18.2013

Oh my gosh. Looks at those players' armpits. It's like an uncanny armpit valley. They look like Stretch Armstrongs or those sex dolls people date and think are real.

Yes, the NBA Live series lives. NBA Live 14 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One next month. It uses that next gen hardware to pretty good effect in rendering player likeness, too. Armpits aside, anyway.

Still, given the series' shaky recent history and the history of sports games launching with consoles, a wait and see approach might be wise. Still, this is a lot more encouraging than releasing one screenshot.

NBA Live 14 marks the return of the series and people aren't feeling it. With a Metascore of 45 for the PlayStation 4 version, executive producer Sean O'Brien says it best: "I'm not going to lie; it's been a rough week. As yo...more

NBA Live 14 fighting for relevancy

Sports, television, videogames. NBA Live 14 is the Xbox One trifecta. The NBA Live series has long been dormant, finally reviving itself on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this month.  The key word I kept hearing was "relevan...more

Whose screenshot is more next-gen, NBA 2k14 or NBA Live?

Today, NBA 2k14 released its first next-gen screenshot, featuring Lebron James. That is screenshot. Singular. I think NBA Live 14 is winning the next gen race, though, because it released its one screenshot almost a month ago. At least show some gamesmanship and one up them, 2K. Release two (k) screenshots.  Anyways, they are both attached. Which one looks more next gen?more

NBA Live lives, coming to PS4 and Xbox One

NBA Elite 11 got cancelled once upon a time, dramatically close to its expected release. Fast forward a few years. EA tried to get back in the simulation basketball game with NBA Live 13, but it too got canned due to "quality...more

NBA Live 14 redefines dribbling with bounceTek

I have been known to shoot some b-ball, usually outside of my school, so long as no one starts making trouble in my neighbourhood. That being said, I have played a fair bit of Basketball videogames too, and as foolish as boun...more

Hollywood loves the E3 trailer for Metal Gear Solid V

It should go without saying that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain had a great showing at E3. Not only was the official trailer a stellar piece of work, and a big indication of how grim the game will be, but the 30-minute ...more

Photo realistic cat heads in Wii U's The Devil's Third
