Subway, Sony partner to bring you tasty meals, prizes photo

Fun fact: Destructoid's Dale North hates Subway about as much as he loves his PlayStation 3. So this new marketing alliance between Sony and the sandwich franchise is going to tear him apart. Sony has announced that it's partnered with Subway in a collaboration called "Fiery Football Frenzy Fueled by PlayStation."

What this is means is that Subway will be carrying some kind of Sony PlayStation-branded sandwiches called the "Fiery Footlongs," which are apparently the spiciest subs the franchise has carried to date. This will include the spicy New Turkey Jalapeno Melt and the Buffalo Chicken. You get these things in a meal, you have the chance to win some PlayStation stuff, including: Move before it's even available on store shelves, that super limited edition Uncharted 2 "Fortune Hunter" Edition and more.

Honestly, I can't even believe I wrote that last paragraph. This is going to be one weird week, I can just feel it.

How can you hate Subway? I mean, it's fine if you don't like to eat from Subway, but why hating it? It's tasty.

Huh.
Order something that makes me shit bricks, win a Playstation Move.
Somehow that doesn't sound too appealing.

Move has Subway.
Kinect has Burger King.
Wii is getting left behind by the food industry.

The last time I 'enjoyed' a Subway sub it made me too ill to attend the last day of PAX prime. If you're in the Seattle convention center, you've been warned.

Subway was good, like, 5 years ago. Now they just suck.

I feel like I told myself I would do something if I ever saw a paragraph advertising a Subway's sandwich on Destructoid. What the heck happened here.

Also Subway's is the pits.

I still like Subway every now and then. I mean it's never been amazing and some locations are way worse than others, but shit I'll eat a cold cut combo.

So Sony is marketing Move with Subway AND Coca-Cola? DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. I didn't know they were that dedicated to marketing it.

100 Million Coca-cola products with Move ads on it. And then TV/Magazine/Internet stuff and Subway.

Kinect has..Justin Bieber. HM.

I love PS3 and subway, so this would have me buying it everyday but I don't like spicy.

@Sherilynn Macale:

PlayStation Move will make you shit bricks, too. I think I just broke an embargo with that one.

@Microshock:

Yeah, Sony is not screwing around. They're really getting out there with Move and early. A few folks (not press, apparently) already have Move in their homes!

TOGOs would have been a better choice, but I'm not sure if it is a nationwide chain or just limited to the west coast.

I love me a #17

Off to Subway for lunches then. Hopefully the offer's on in Canada.

Weird. That turkey jalapeno melt sounds incredible, though. I love spicy food and I love my PS3, so my question is when will these sandwiches be available?

Yeah, Subway's marketing department is awful. Jared's a smug piece of shit, the five dollar foot long jingle sucks, and Michael Phelps is a goddamn weedhead.

Actually, wait, scratch that last one, there's nothing wrong with Michael Phelps.

Rather have a handful of small mom & pop delis than Subways every 1.2 miles. But you know, they make THEIR particular type of sandwich and that's fine; and if it's an American restaurant trying to market NON-deep fried food to kids, that's fine as well.

I love Subway and I get hotsauce on pretty much every sub I order...I highly doubt these will be "spicey" to me, such a suggestive term as I can drink hot sauce and be fine.

I agree with mix, there's nothing you can get at Subway that genuinely counts as spicy. Even their jalapeno peppers seem mild. Mugshots, on the other hand, is paradise for people who love spicy food. Spicy burgers, sandwiches and buffalo chicken that's so spicy and delicious that you'll love eating it even though you know you'll desperately want to go to the hospital afterwards.

Subway sandwiches are awful, I only go there when I have no other choice, and only for the peanut butter cookies. Quizno's is lightyears better.

What's with all the hate for Subway? I always prefer 'em over BK or McDonaalds.

What I would give for somebody to build an In n' Out, though.
