Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick Pro coming soon photo

It wouldn't be a fighting game if there wasn't a corresponding arcade stick plastered with relevant imagery. Mad Catz has entered a multi-year agreement with Capcom to put out Street Fighter X Tekken controllers and accessories in North America and Europe.

The Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick Pro (shown above) is expected to ship out this September. You can get your pre-order on now, but these aren't exactly something you would go impulse buy -- unless you make it rain on a consistent basis, that is.

I don't like the stick, it looks too cheap, and yet it's so expensive.
I'll just continue using my custom stick, I don't like having the d-control on the left anyway.

At this point, if I cared for a Capcom franchise other than Resident Evil, I'd probably care.

Derp, redundancy is redundant. You get my point.

It looks kind of tacky, I prefer the super classy SSF4 TE.
That said, I much prefer stick with my Qanba Q4, dual modded out of the box, son.

I kinda like the bottom of that, seems there'd be a little more air flow on my lap. But is that a headphone jack on the right one?

@Ramminchuck: Yeah, Xbox headsets plug into the controller.

I gotta agree with most people about how cheap it looks. When I first saw them appear online I assumed that these would be the replacement SE sticks since they no longer manufacture the SF4 ones.

Eh. I really wish I would have gotten the TEs with the colored buttons. I always liked that. Made it a little easier when not using the stick for fighting games.

First one in a while that I'm really not digging. Still kicking myself in the ass for never buying the MvC2 stick :(

Ehh....I still have my MvC2, SF4, SSF4, MvC3, TK6 (that one sucks), and BlazBlue pad.

If you guys want a HQ fightstick on the cheap, the WWE All Stars Fightsticks are 40 dollars, I believe. They're a bit smaller, but they're moddable and handle well.

@PrinceHeir
Hori is quite restricted with their parts. It's very easy to repair a MadCatz TE stick, but with hori there are a bunch of fucking firewalls to make it work proper. Hell, the MK TE Fightstick is more proper & moddable than Hori's stuff.

I love the Hori stick for Tekken 6. This was wireless and came with the game in a special edition package. The Street Fighter stick was more money and wired without the game.
Is this one Wireless??

@DRAGONBILLZ: Wireless is not a good thing for serious gaming, this is small input lag and if you play at a tournament where other people have wireless stuff there is the risk of interference. That tekken stick is pretty horrible, it's cheap but that's what it's worth.

A TE is bigger, the buttons and the stick are real Sanwa parts and everything is easily replaced. Sure they cost a lot but the only sticks that compare to it are the best horri stick, which are priced at the same price range. If you ever play on a real stick you'll see the difference. Still, the tekken stick is ok for casual play.

My hori V3SA works fine for me, especially with the sexy smoky seimitsu buttons (w/ matching balltop) I put in it. That along with my Fighting Commander 3 I'm set. If I were looking for another stick, I would spring for a Qanba R4, or Chun Li TS, or if I were to come by a windfall a VLX

It's not bad looking IMO,but I have my Sanwa TvC stick I use for Wii,PC and PS3,plus Im not particularly great at fighting games,so I don't need another one.

The look of this thing makes me glad I still own my original SFIV TE stick.
