The whole Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter madness from this past weekend is super interesting, and not just because of how crazy the concept -- two separate (but similar) games from two developers -- truly is. There are many burning questions; today, we get some answers.
Perhaps most importantly, how far away are these games? And how the heck are Capcom and Namco going to handle marketing for the two projects? Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono revealed to Famitsu SF X Tekken's release target: two whole years from now, which will likely end up being before Tekken X SF.
Another fun tidbit from the talk is that the development teams won't be collaborating, so to say. Instead, they'll be off doing their own thing for the duration. Ono even made a joke about how Chun-Li could appear nude in Namco's game and Capcom wouldn't have the slightest idea.
"We'd like to challenge one another in all areas, including sales, and get fans of both series excited," he says. Even at this early stage, I can't see this "battle" being anything other than ridiculous. Get pumped!

I want to see how Zangief would deal with Kings 5 hit throw.
Why bother, in 3 weeks there will be a mod by fans anyway.
And I doubt zangeif would care, seeing how King's throws are all more realistic looking/styled, while Zangeif throws people 50 feet into the air and then pile-drives them head first into the ground.
as far as Marvel vs Capcom. I just want a Marvel Super Heroes - btw the main reason it was so popular was because of the amazing artwork on them, the new game while still "ok"... dosnt have the same art.
Still i think capcom just needs to make a marvel super heroes game instead.
street fighter 4 just came out - and the tekken one makes much more sense.
I'm curious as well. Kings "Rolling Death Cradle" if applied in Tekken, is instant death.
I'm assuming they will probably make it some form of Ultra with not nearly as much damage.

Who knows, maybe they use a different engine, a lot can happen in two years. Either way, they will sell well. They also have been using unreal engine and it's itterations for awhile, and are still able to make games look better.
Just saying.
