Okay, Kristin Kreuk is pretty... I guess. But I've always had my doubts when it comes to her playing the role of Street Fighter's Chun-Li. Sure, she's got some Chinese heritage, but where's the meaty thighs? Where's the bulk?
These new shots from the Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li movie show Kreuk in action. I'm not feeling it. She's so lanky! And two of the images we came across on 1UP don't even feature her signature hair buns. The ones that do are... not good. In the image where she is surrounded by gunmen, she looks like a 1970s office worker.
This image is like every martial arts and Asian movie cliché wrapped up in one. And is that Brad Nicholson on the left?

Also, HELLO THAR WIRE FU.
Was it to much to ask to get an actual chinese woman to play Chun-Li?
dumb chick is dumb
I saw the first street fighter 3 times in the theaters when i was a kid and I am so there...
Fuck you hollywood.
Kreuk doesn't fit the role at all. I can't even see here "blossoming" into the ChungLi we know later in street fighter life.
On top of that Kreuk has never impressed me her acting ability.
Tell you what though, she might not act the best either but that Erica Durance....WOO!....she can have all the screen time she wants! AMIRIGHT?!
*Giddy like a Smallville fangirl*
(Sorry...I just got into Smallville recently :P)
i really think she is interesting as chun li, but i don't think this movie will be a hit. the dradon ball movie looks like a cheap teen flick, lots of realistic martial arts and i don't think they can even fly. the dbz should have look like transformer, hancock, or superman in quality.
Kreuk looks like she's in great shape, and really that's about as much as you can expect from any sane actress. They aren't going to make her go through years of training just to bulk up her thighs for a video game movie. At least she doesn't look like a man from the waist down, like some of Capcom's artists have portrayed her on occasion.
i'm more concerned with the movie rather than who stars in it. But the actors make the movie. Sooo, i vote she needs to spend time eating more thigh enhancing foods.
"For this week’s exclusive first-look, feast your eyes on the beautiful Moon Bloodgood as Det. Maya Sunee. The character probably won’t sound familiar to you die-hard SF fans out there. And it shouldn’t. Maya’s new to the Street Fighter universe. She’s Bangkok Gangland Homicide. A no-nonsense, fast-talking, half-Thai cop who rocks a Ducati and a set of gold cuffs."
...Really?
She doesn't sound familar to any of us.
